lakefront home in the heart of the Hiawatha forest, just off of scenic FFH 13, and within walking distance to Forest Glen Store. Kayak rentals, snowmobile trails, swimming beaches, cross country ski trails, and hiking trails are all nearby. The home features a large living and dining area, a modern kitchen, laundry, and bath on the main floor. The second floor has a master bed/bath, "Jack and Jill" bedrooms (2) and bath. Seasonal access to a deck, and a dock with a fishing boat and swim area. The space 10 miles south of Munising (where the Michigan Ice Fest is held Feb 9-13) On a quiet lake and surroundings Great for activities all 4 seasons. The surrounding forest is a mix of deciduous (maple, beech, birch, etc) and evergreen (pines). The lake is spring fed with clear water suitable for fishing, and swimming. All guest bedrooms are upstairs and accessed via stairs. The owner's apartment on the first floor is not accessible to guests. Guest access Guest have the main house with seasonal access to the swimming dock and small boat. An acre of lawn, and plenty of parking space. Other things to note Hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, swimming, and hunting are all within a mile. There is a small separate apartment (with its own entry) and amenities on the first floor that the owners stay in when they are home (not traveling) if there are guests staying at the house. Guests will have the main house to themselves but are encouraged to reach out to the owners directly if there is anything they need during their stay.
