Our family owned New Haven vacation house is a renovated 1920s Tudor. It's located in a quiet, safe, & beautiful neighborhood, close to downtown and Yale. We've carefully preserved historic aspects we love (ie: art deco tile & leaded glass windows), and combined it with central a/c, USB ports, new appliances, gas fireplace, high speed wifi & more. You’re also welcome to use the small screened in porch, patio with chairs, and the yard. The entire house and driveway is yours when you rent. We have a keyless entry pad and guests may check themselves in. We provide coffee, tea, plus various cooking basics (spices, olive & cooking oil, vinegar, and potentially, other basics). There are two grocery stores very near by: a large grocery and a small (and very good) natural food store. New Haven has excellent restaurants, both casual and very nice, that you may want to take advantage of. You're welcome to make use of all the extras in the house, including the games, books, and the ping pong table in the basement. We provide cable tv and the highest speed available wireless. (Please use your own Amazon Prime and Netflix ID's.) In the summer, feel free to use the beach towels, umbrella and chairs. We can direct you to our favorite local beaches. Guests will have access to all living spaces, inside and outside. Washer & dryer are reserved for guests booking for a week or longer, unless you make arrangements with us. The house has a driveway and it’s yours to park in. We are easy to communicate with. David is a professor at Yale's Med School and Jennifer knows lots about the area. We're friendly people, but also happy to provide you with privacy, as you wish. The home is located in a safe and beautiful historic New Haven neighborhood, close to downtown. It's an old city neighborhood where people are frequently walking dogs, socializing with neighbors, and huge, old oak trees line the street where the house is located. A car or using Uber (very easy in our city) is the best way to get around.
