Shepherd’s Retreat on 10 acres w/ a Private Pond

Our cozy, quiet, strictly smoke free home sits on 10 acres at the end of a long tree-lined driveway. Sitting on the back porch you'll enjoy wildlife, oak trees and our private pond along our Brushy Creek property line. Relax in quiet, grill on the porch or watch a movie in our theater. We are located in an ideal location between I35 & 183. Only 5-10 min from shopping, 15 min to Georgetown, 30 min to downtown Austin. For the adventurous, Fredericksburg and Magnolia in Waco is in reach. The space This listing is for the AirBnB "Private Room" listing which means we are in the home to help with any needs just like you will find in a traditional Bed and Breakfast (BnB). But rest assured that we give you your privacy. Noise, kids and the like are not a problem. If you are concerned about this dynamic just read our guests reviews. We often find our guests have a better experience when we are there to help with questions than when we are away. Also, regardless of whether you reserve as two guests needing one bedroom or twelve guests using all the beds, you will be the ONLY occupants in the home besides my wife and I. We do NOT book rooms independently like other listings so guests have privacy and don't have to worry about bumping into other AirBnB folks during your stay. The master suite, where we stay, is separated from the rest of the house by our spacious living and dining area. As you drive down our winsome and winding driveway you'll enter into optimal privacy as you leave neighbors, traffic and other distractions behind. We often have grazing deer and turkey in our backyard and seasonally ducks fly in to our pond as they migrate south. The house is an open floor plan with 10-20ft ceilings downstairs. Sparkling windows open up to nothing but nature and the pristine pond in our backyard. The kitchen has all high-end appliances with multiple ovens, a large gas stove, instant hot water tap and continuous fresh water from our Texas aquifer. Our home has two laundry rooms, one in our master and another for guests to use adjacent to the kitchen. Both downstairs bathrooms have rain shower heads which are wonderful for endless showers with our tank-less water heaters. One of the bathrooms has a large counter with two sinks and the other has one sink with a sliding privacy door between the shower and toilet/sink area. Additionally the 3rd bathroom has a tub/shower in the upstairs. Two of the rooms and all necessities downstairs provides up to two couples the opportunity to stay without having to climb stairs. However, if guests are using the third or fourth bedroom or would like to watch a movie in our theater on the 120" screen (which has an XBox for kids or too stream your favorite movie) they will go up one flight of stairs to our second level. Guest access Other than our master bedroom and office, which will be closed/locked, the entire house and backyard are available for you. We have hi-speed internet access and wifi available inside and outside the home. When you book your stay we block the dates so you have personal use to all accessible areas. You will not share with additional guests. During your stay My husband and I enjoy hosting and are willing to help with any questions regarding the area. Additionally, we are available to chat and share a cup of coffee or we can be almost invisible depending on your preference for interaction. Several guests booking this private room vs whole home listing didn't realize we would be at the house as well but those same ones have told us the interaction with us was a highlight of their stay. Other things to note Come prepared to relax and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. Our home is more than just a place to stay for the night, it's also a relaxing retreat from busy lives. A drive to Magnolia in Waco or historic Fredericksburg are both leisurely jaunts from our home and popular destinations for guests. We also know of some tasty restaurants should you want some recommendations. For the comfort of our personal home as well as future guests we are a strictly smoke and drug free environment.
