Immerse yourself in relaxation as you unwind in the saltwater spa to enjoy the setting sun and twinkling cafe lights before gathering round the fire pit for cozy fireside chats. The host of smart features & being just a stone’s throw away from Legoland or the beach make this the perfect home base! The space —-UPDATED POLICIES-—— Health & safety has always been a top priority at Casa De Norte, but we also want to let you know about the following updates to our procedures. • All commonly touched surfaces are thoroughly disinfected & permitting soft surfaces are hot sanitizing or swapped between guests. • A minimum 24 hours between bookings to ensure staff have time to properly complete all their tasks. • We’ll be eternally grateful for our staff & how their diligent protocol’s helped us to keep everyone safe. To avoid putting stress on their already busy schedule we are unable to grant changes to check in/out times for the foreseeable future. • We try to maintain high quality standards by quickly replacing damaged/worn items. However, we may need to use previously retired items during sanitizing rotation & kindly ask for your patience during this adjustment. ------------------------------------------------- Casa De Norte has many patio doors & windows which means you get to live the famous California indoor/outdoor lifestyle! ~Relax under the shaded poolside pergola (accessible via sunroom, bunk room & master bedroom). Or soak up some sun on one of the Sunbrella cushioned poolside lounger & dine al fresco under the outdoor dining table umbrella. Pool towels are provided & outdoor coffee table is filled with a revolving supply of floats, water toys, & sand castle extras for days spent on one of our many nearby beaches! *CHILD-SAFETY: To help prevent littles from accessing the pool area unsupervised there are door alarms on the bunk & sunroom patio doors (can be switch off as desired), as well as a child lock on the front door. The deadlock on the bunk room patio door also requires a complicated unlocking procedure making it difficult for children to accomplish. Enjoy your latest show or sporting event in with TVs in both the living room & mater bedroom. Simply sign in to any of your streaming accounts or cable network app on the supplied Roku device. If you’d rather unplug, feel free to select one of the many books offered in our ‘take-1-leave-1 lending library’ lining the pool table room bookshelves. Sneak away for some secluded relaxation by exiting out the queen bedroom patio doors & slipping into the hammock. You’re sure to love how peaceful it feels to be surrounded by nothing but sky, hillside, and bird song. In an effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible we've included the following smart features; ~ 4-Digit keyless entry pad ~ Nest smart thermostat ~ Echo Dots (lighting control & personal concierge) **FUN** • Billiard Table • Board Games, Card Games, Books, Kids Toys • 2 TVs with Roku streaming & DVD collection • Beach & Pool toys (outdoor coffee table) **KITCHEN & BBQ** • All-Clad & Cast Iron pots/pans • Chefs Knives, Cutting boards, etc • Electric Cooktop, Oven, & Microwave • Blender & Juicer • 4 slice toaster & countertop toaster oven • Coffee Maker with permanent filter (no paper filters needed), Electric bean grinder, & Thermal storage carafe • Mixing & Serving Bowls, Tupperware, Etc • Non-Perishables (spices, cooking oil, sugar/flower, canned goods, etc) left by previous guests • Propane BBQ with ceramic plates + side burner & grilling utensils / scrub brush. **CHILDREN** • High chair • Pack & Play, & optional bed rails • Umbrella Stroller • Toys; legos, blocks, books, etc (may vary) • Plastic cups & baby spoons **POOL & SPA** • The spa is included in your stay. • Optional Pool Heating: Total cost can be supplied roughly 2 weeks prior to arrival, once the weather forecast is known (feel free to reach out for rough estimate based upon years past). Confirmation & payment are due at least 5 days prior to scheduled arrival to allow time for pre-heating. ~ Note: Pool heating is prohibitively expensive from late-Nov thru Jan (due to low overnight temps). Off-Street Parking is located around side of the property. Other things to note •MINIMUM BOOKING AGE: 25 •POOL & SPA HEATING: -Spa use is included @ no additional cost. -Pool Heating: Optional @ guest cost (NOTE: cost is prohibitively high from Nov-Jan or when night temps are excessively low). Final cost can be provided once forecast is known (roughly 2 weeks before). This option MUST be confirmed & paid at least 5 days prior to checkin. - The propane tank is electronically monitored & high use results in notification, use of the pool heating without prior approval will result in loss of deposit & eviction without any refund. CLEANING FEE: -We hold our cleaning staff to extremely high standards & the cleanliness CDN is known for wouldn’t be possible without them. - Therefore we pay a living wage to ensure they remain diligent in the dedication to our guests health & safety. - While we absorb a majority of staff costs there are things which may result in a fee. This includes but is not limited to: Dirty dishes or BBQ, & Damage or excessive mess. - By booking CDN you agree to pay any additional expense which may result from time spent renting this property. •PARTIES / GATHERINGS -The property does not allow more than 8 guests. Any additional visitors shall be kept to a maximum of 10 & non-guests must be gone by 9pm quiet hour. •San Diego is fighting the same battle as many other cities with residents who wish to ban STR properties. Its important we prove to them that CDN guests don’t cause disturbance or problems for neighbors. •Therefore this policy has NO EXCEPTIONS and violation will result in immediate eviction with loss of security deposit, no refunds, and legal action if necessary. NOTE: Please see full rental agreement contract attached to your booking. Booking serves as signature and agreement that all guest(s) & visitors have read and/or are fully aware of the rules and stipulations therein, including terms of violation. If violation results in legal action proceedings are to take place in San Diego County. The named parties agree to accept responsibility for any subsequent fees associated with and as a result of these proceedings. This includes but is not limited to: transport, council, filing and/or document fees, and associated medical costs
