Description

The space Vacation at the Circus Your 70 m² apartment for 4 people with its own terrace is on the ground floor and offers you a parking space and storage for bicycles right in front of the house. The apartment has 2 bedrooms. In the first very spacious bedroom, which is equipped with a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m), the children's travel cot finds its place. The second bedroom has a bunk bed (0.90 m x 2.00 m). The beds are already made with fresh linens upon your arrival. The cozy kitchen has an inviting seating area and is equipped with a microwave (integrated grill), ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, radio (CD) and of course plenty of dishes. On cool evenings, retreat to the living room and enjoy the fire in the fireplace (the first basket of firewood is free, from then on the basket costs €5.00). Enjoy breakfast on your terrace, which you enter directly from the kitchen and be enchanted by the nature, the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. Then start your exploration of the rose city of Putbus and its spacious castle park. The legendary steam-powered museum train "Rasender Roland" stops at Putbus station (10-minute walk). The train runs from Putbus on the circular route to Göhren via Binz, Sellin and Baabe. On a romantic train ride you can discover the natural beauty of the island of Rügen and quickly and easily reach the neighboring towns. In any case, you should visit the picturesque seaside resorts of Binz and Sellin directly on the Baltic Sea. The port of Lauterbach with various restaurants and fish smokers, as well as the nearest swimming spot are about 2 km away. The marina "im Jaich" also in Lauterbach, offers you the opportunity to take sailing courses or participate in sailing tours. Guided fishing tours are also possible here on request. The "Cafe und Restaurant am Circus" is just a stone's throw from your apartment. Other various restaurants, supermarkets and a bakery are located directly in Putbus just minutes from your apartment in Putbus. From 1808 to 1823, Prince Malte zu Putbus had his residence and a bathing resort built in Lauterbach. In 1817-1818, he had the Goor bathhouse built and immediately afterwards the Residenztheater. The Marstall, built between 1821 and 1824, served Prince Malte zu Putbus as a horse stable and from 1824 to 1853 he finally had the orangery built. The reconstruction of the castle began in 1825, followed by the construction of the Putbus castle church between 1844 and 1846. The Circus Putbus is considered the last uniformly designed roundabout in Germany, which Prince Wilhelm Malte I of Putbus had built and essentially rebuilt with neoclassical houses until 1845. Until 1843, in the middle of the Circus, casual walking paths crossed a lawn surrounded by Italian poplars. After that, a stricter system with 8 star-shaped paths between wedge-shaped lawn squares was created by the Princely Chief Gardener Halliger. In 1845, a 21 m high obelisk was erected in memory of the founding of the town and in 1872 the poplars uprooted as a result of a storm surge were replaced by spherical oaks.
