Charming renovated 17th century, listed Alms House

Located in the historic heart of the town, the Alms House was built in the 17th century. After careful renovation in 2019, this listed house provides an ideal place to stay for those visiting or working in the area. With one double bedroom, a convertible sofa bed in the living room, fully equipped kitchen and small patio, the Alms House is perfect for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and up to 2 children aged to 10 years. All furnishings are new in 2019. The space The accommodation comprises a bedroom upstairs, with living room, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. WIFI up to 20MBPS is available free of charge. Either a super king size double or twin beds are available upstairs, and the sofa converts into a 4’ bed, which is suitable for a single adult or two children. Please note that there is a small extra charge for use of the sofa-bed to cover laundry costs etc. When booking please state in advance if you require twin beds or a double bed upstairs; and if you wish to use the sofa bed. If you do we will provide extra bedding for a small extra charge. The kitchen is fully equipped for all self-catering needs, with new electrical appliances including oven, hob, microwave etc. From the kitchen you step out into a beautiful paved courtyard, which is equipped with table and chairs – ideal for relaxing in at the end of the day. The whole house is available to let on a self-catering basis (we do however provide a welcome pack of biscuits, tea, coffee, milk and basic cooking condiments) for 1 night. Parking is on the street outside. There is always plenty of space. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, comprising of upstairs bedroom, ground floor living room, kitchen, bathroom and private, paved patio. Other things to note IMPORTANT Access to the bedroom is via a very steep, almost ladder-like, staircase. Those with restricted mobility may find this difficult to navigate.
