The sleeping arrangements consist of three inviting bedrooms: two featuring a queen bed, and a third room with two comfortable single beds. The house is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities, it has solar panels with a Tesla battery for backup power, a 500-gallon cistern, outdoor shower, washer and dryer on site, Fiber Optic WiFi, and air conditioning inverter units throughout, ensuring a comfortable stay. Experience the beauty, comfort, and warm hospitality of Casa Pal'mar during your stay in Playuela and let the magic of this coastal paradise wash over you. Guest have access to all the delightful parts of the home showcased in this listing. We want our guests to feel comfortably "at home" while away from home. Parking options include designated spaces on the grass in front of the house or street parking. We have some boards and beach gear that we share with our guests for use at their discretion. I split my time between San Juan and Aguadilla so if I am available at check-in, I will make every effort to personally greet you. However, in case of a late arrival or my unavailability, I've provided self-check-in/out instructions for your convenience. As part of our charming home, we have a small unit at the end of the garage that is reserved for the owners and our furry companions, Quini and Moka. While you're here, we value your privacy and space. Nevertheless, I am always available to assist you when required and if I happen to be away, feel free to contact me via phone anytime. It's like local country living by the beach, which we call 'campo en la playa.' I appreciate the friendliness of the neighborhood and the laid-back atmosphere. I also love the convenience of having a dirt road that leads to the beach. The airport, supermarket, shops, and restaurants are all just a 3-minute drive up the hill. What I enjoy the most personally is being able to walk, bike, or drive to the beach right from the house, whether it's to catch some surf during the winter months or go for a swim or snorkel in the calm and clear waters during the summer months. Peña Blanca beach is a fantastic spot for relaxing, swimming, or snorkeling. We have several reef surf breaks nearby, including Pressure Point, El Mix, and Wilderness, all located about a mile from the house. Crashboat is approximately 3 miles from the property, and you'll need to drive to get there. On the south side of the house, my neighbors include roosters, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and pigeons. They do tend to wake up early, and you'll get used to the sounds after a couple of nights, but it's a good idea to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Feel free to share your food scraps with the birds (leftover rice, fruits, and veggies work well). Both kids and adults seem to enjoy this! In general, everyone in the neighborhood is friendly, mostly consisting of older couples and local families with kids. There might be some occasional noise, such as music from neighbors, dogs barking, chickens crowing, ducks quacking, birds chirping, and the sounds of four-wheelers and bikes on Puerto Rican Sundays. If you love animals, appreciate being close to nature, want to disconnect from screens, or need to work remotely while enjoying the ocean, then Casa Pal'mar in the Valley of Playuela is the perfect place for you! Since there is no public transportation available, it is highly recommended to have or rent a vehicle. While 4x4 jeeps are a popular choice for accessing the beaches via off-road routes, a regular-sized vehicle will suffice. Please note that Uber is not a reliable option in the area, and finding taxis can be both expensive and challenging. While your stay at Casa Pal'mar promises serenity, this is a country home at the beach. We have birds next door, neighbors with dogs that like to play music on weekends, and there is at times landscaping work to continually improve the backyard. Rest assured, most likely you wont want to leave. Every house has its quirks and pros - here are some of mine: Internet: Our WiFi is powered by Claro Fiber Optic, providing a steady 50-100m connection, even during power outages. Cleaning: Ensuring a clean and comfortable environment has always been our top priority. We also provide cleaning products for guests to use or if you would like bi-weekly cleaning it is available for an additional fee. Power: We've equipped the house with solar panels and a Tesla backup battery to keep things running smoothly during power outages. In case of an outage, we kindly request guests to be mindful of their energy consumption when operating on the backup battery. Please note that during such times, the AC units won't be operational. The battery is reserved for essential appliances like the fridge, TV, router, fans, lights, and outlets. Moreover, the sealed roof helps maintain a comfortable temperature inside, typically around 10 degrees cooler. Inverter AC Units: We appreciate your cooperation in conserving energy. When using the AC inverter units, please ensure that all doors and windows are closed. These units are designed to cool individual rooms, not the entire house, to prevent any issues. There's a new AC unit in the living room that cools the space efficiently. We encourage guests to turn off ACs when they're not at home or set the temperature to approximately 75+ degrees for optimal efficiency when leaving them ON. Water: We have a highly efficient solar water heater, but please be cautious as sometimes it tends to heat water very hot. Make sure to open faucets straight down the middle and adjust the temperature and showers to your liking before use. If you have any inquiries about the house or the area, don't hesitate to reach out to us! We're here to assist you.
