Weingarten Lodge

Welcome to the Weinidylle! This historic cellar on Wintner Berg is located in the middle of the smallest wine-growing region of Burgenland, surrounded by vineyards, orchards and forests. The location impresses with the beautiful, wide view of the Pinkaboden, the Geschrittenstein and the Hungarian border, as well as the quiet, secluded location. The space The basement has about 36 m² of floor space and was originally an agricultural building for wine production. The press room became a living room, the parlor became a bedroom, and the bathroom and the kitchen open to the living room are in the former bottle storage. The wine cellar is still used to store wines, which are available at farm-gate prices, and invites you to linger on hot summer days. The construction corresponds to a log house with plastered walls on the inside. The old wooden beam ceiling with chopped tree trunks was preserved as well as the wooden floor with wide planks in the bedroom. The box windows in the bedroom are also the original ones. In the living room and bathroom, they were recreated by a carpenter. In the colder season, the window bars are then replaced by the winter windows and thus you get a heat-insulating double glazing. The furnishings consist largely of antique furniture and convey vintage charm with a regional character. The kitchen is equipped with a stove and dishwasher, oven, kettle and coffee maker, as well as a fridge with freezer. Salt, pepper, sugar, tea, vinegar & oil are located in the kitchen cabinet. Two coffee capsules per day and stay are included. The bathroom has a bathtub and underfloor heating for cooler days. Towels, sheets and a hairdryer will be provided. The lodge can also be heated in winter by the Swedish stove in the living room. We provide the wood for this. If necessary, you can still switch on the underfloor heating in the bathroom or an infrared panel in the bedroom. On request we can provide an extra bed for toddlers up to 3 years old.
