Description
Shepherds Keep is nestled in the Stour Valley in the peaceful hamlet of Liston on the Essex/Suffolk border. Surrounded by rolling countryside with ample walks and cycle rides from the doorstep. The Hut is set in a beautiful meadow within the secluded grounds of Little Hall, with panoramic views across the fields, allowing guests to experience the best nature has to offer. Relax under the big starlit skies and enjoy making new memories in this peaceful rural hideaway. The space We wanted to create a traditional Shepherds Hut but with a little bit of luxury thrown in, so we decided to build our own! Tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything you will need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Whether you fancy a tasty snack or a hearty dinner the neat little kitchen area has a gas oven and hob, small fridge, butler sink, kettle and toaster and for dining a pull-down table for two. Providing further creature comforts in the hut you will also find a lovely eco shower and wash basin, along with a comfy king-size bed with feather duvet and pillows to snuggle up at the end of your day. The hut keep pretty warm with the help of the sheep's wool insulation, but for those chillier evenings the wood burner will keep you cosy. We try to be as organic and eco friendly as possible (so we hope you won't mind) there is a compostable loo and wash basin in a lovely hut a few steps away, solely for your use. We supply products from a rather nice eco friendly brand for you to also enjoy. To make the most of the beautiful sunsets and relax with your favourite tipple you will find comfortable seating on the raised decking and lower garden areas, complete with a BBQ for those starlit alfresco suppers! Guest access There is parking available on the driveway for one car. Other things to note On your arrival you will be greeted by your hosts Clare and Paul and a trolley we like to call Dolly, on which you can transport your luggage to Shepherds Keep a short 100 metre stroll along the Stour Valley Path. Welcome Tray - A complimentary welcome tray of Fresh eggs (from our cheeky free-range hens) milk, tea, ground coffee, fresh bread, butter, selection of preserves, homemade brownies or flapjacks, and a bottle of wine will be ready for you to enjoy. Just a note on the Wi-Fi - Although there is free Wi-Fi available, it is difficult to obtain a signal inside the hut, due to it's metal cladding, however all areas outside the hut are fine :)
