Escape to Perran Wharf Cottage, a charming 18th-century retreat in Perranarworthal, perfectly located between Truro and Falmouth. This cosy cottage sleeps up to six guests, with two bathrooms, free parking for two cars, and a log fire, perfect for festive breaks. Just 200m from the Norway Inn, famed for Sunday lunches, and 5.5 miles from Gyllyngvase Beach, it’s surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. Please note: some traffic noise is expected due to its location on the A39. The space Experience comfort and versatility in our cottage's three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features a day bed that can easily pull out to a second bed, creating a super king-sized bed that's perfect for families. Though it's our smallest room, it boasts a large wardrobe for all your storage needs. Bedroom 2 is a spacious haven with a king-sized bed, wardrobe, and chest of drawers - all with plenty of room for a travel cot. Our master suite, Bedroom 3, is the largest of the three bedrooms, featuring a king-sized bed and high-vaulted ceiling. You'll have ample space for your belongings with a chest of drawers and a large wardrobe. All the windows in our cottage are equipped with fitted shutters to keep out light and ensure restful sleep. Our two generously sized bathrooms each include a toilet, sink, and shower. Bathroom Two boasts an additional roll-top bath. In the lounge, you'll find a new comfortable sofa that has been introduced in May 2024. And for added convenience, the downstairs bathroom is located by the side door entrance, perfect for rinsing off sandy feet after a day at the beach. Welcome to the fully restored cottage of 2022. Everything inside is brand new, from the kitchen, boiler, to the beds, wardrobes, and TV. And with a new heating system including radiators and NEST installed, adjusting the temperature of the cottage has never been easier. Plus, there's a cosy log burner to keep you warm during chilly winter months, with logs included for each visit. Entertainment options abound, with your own access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a Sky Subscription to keep the kids happy during downtime. Did I mention WIFI for the kids? ;) And speaking of downtime, you'll love relaxing on our brand-new decking area, completed in February 2023 complete with BBQ and perfect for enjoying the sunny weather of Summer 2023. Two parking spaces are available right next to the premises, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Should you require additional parking space, a lay-by near the Norway Inn just 150m away offers ample room for more cars. Rest easy knowing that you'll never have to worry about finding a place to park, as there is always plenty of space available. Other things to note In 2024, significant enhancements were made to the car park with the installation of automatic parking sensor lights, ensuring greater convenience and safety for all visitors. Inside, the comfort of our guests has been prioritised by replacing the sofa mattress with a spacious and new stylish L-shaped sofa. Additionally, in July 2024, we introduced spotlights with mood lighting, creating a versatile and inviting ambiance. The outdoor areas of the property have also seen extensive improvements. In March 2023, the garden, patio, and driveway were meticulously completed, providing a beautiful and functional space for relaxation and activities. Earlier, in October 2022, a fully decked area was added at the top of the rock garden. This feature includes a drum BBQ and outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying alfresco dining and gatherings. For your entertainment, the property is equipped with premium TV packages, including Sky TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, offering a wide range of viewing options. Adding to the property's unique charm and history, it was once owned by the renowned Sir Stirling Moss in the 1980s, making it a place of historical significance and prestige.
