Cosy cottage in nature reserve with heated pool.

The Bothy is a secret hideaway, a mile from the centre of Lymington, close to the sea wall. Stunning views over the sea and nature reserves - bird lovers paradise. Recently refurbished, this tiny, pretty cottage has a private heated swimming pool during summer months. The space Dating back 300 years, the Bothy was decorated in May 2024 and offers contemporary accommodation for 4 guests in a large kingsize bedroom and a twin bedroom. Open plan living area which opens directly onto private garden and exclusive use of heated swimming pool. The pool is open from the first May Bank Holiday weekend until the end of September. The snug area has a small 2-seater sofa in front of the wood burner. There are two additional stools for sitting around the fire. This area is cosy and a bit tight for 4 adults. Beautiful white linen, hand towels, bath towel, bath robes and beach towels are provided. Well equipped kitchen with basic supplies. The swimming pool is very old and is carefully maintained by "Andy", the pool man who cleans and checks the condition every week. The pool cover helps keep the pool lovely and warm. Please be gentle with it when rolling it on and off! Guest access Parking for 2 cars is available outside the front entrance which shares a driveway with Normandy Cottage and the Barn. There is an outside dining area with teak furniture and sun shade, perfect for catching the afternoon sun. Please walk through my garden to get onto the sea wall and enjoy views of the Solent and across to Yarmouth, IOW. Other things to note Guests can enjoy lovely walks along the coastal path direct from the Bothy. Walks in the New Forest are within a 10 minute drive. Several pubs are within walking distance. The surrounding nature reserves are perfect for bird watching. Wifi is available but it is not very fast. Ok for emails but too slow for streaming. Mobile phone signal is poor too so you can really escape from reality!
