The Homestead is an excellent place to relax & entertain your whole family and friends (up to 10 People). The extra large deck overlooks 150 Acres of fields, private wetland, and pond where you can fully relax & enjoy the farm experience. So bring cameras, binoculars, fishing poles, and walking shoes/boots for the 2 miles of trails for a truly memorable visit. The space We welcome guest onto our 150 acre farm filled with fields, a private wetland, pond, woods, tractors and animal. It is ideal for an escape from the city hustle and bustle, a comfortable stop on your travels, a new experience, or as a gather location for friends and family to celebrate at (contact us about events). Whatever your needs we are only…. 15 minutes to Cedarville University 30 minutes to Xenia, Springfield, I71, I70 20 minutes from Yellow Springs 3 miles from the Ohio to Erie Prairie Bike Trail in South Charleston 1 hr from Columbus and Dayton with the Air Force museum 2 hr from Cincinnati and Kings Island The Homestead was originally build some time during the 1800s and has been remodeled numerous times to accommodate the latest modern conveniences. Now the house features central A/C & Heat, wi-fi. There are 2 official bedrooms and 2 open spaces fitted out for sleeping. Privacy screens are available for those wanting to dived those spaces up. Downstairs features a fully equipped spacious kitchen with views over the wetland, the bathroom with laundry capabilities, and a spacious living room and entry for gathering with friends and family for games or movie nights. For those needing additional sleeping arrangements the couch transforms into a queen bed, a queen air mattress and a crib are also available. Guest access Guest are welcome to walk on the 2 miles of maintained trails through the wetland, out to the pond, and around the fields. Enjoy the yard space at the house with a game of corn hole, croquet, or enjoy a night at the fire ring. Guest must realise this is a working farm and that animals and equipment is/are off limits unless indicated by an employee. We will gladly assist you in understanding farm life when you arrive. The 1 acre pond is a catch and release pond. No swimming/boating/hunting is allowed. No poles or fishing gear are supplied by the host. The gazebo and pond observation area are accessed by foot path, low water crossing, and a bridge. Other things to note The property manager lives on the property in the barn with her 2 friendly dogs Scooby & Trixie. There are other rental sites (all over 100feet away) on the property both glamping tent sites and a RV site so please respect each designated space while exploring the property.
