The Nissen hut at HMS Owl was originally built in 1941 by the RAF. The Owl is our family home and took us 5 years to restore it. It has been featured on TV and in numerous design publications. HMS Owl is pretty special as is the restored Nissen available to rent. The Hut is cosy, warm and private with large living space and kitchen and large ensuite bedroom. Brilliant log burners in livingspace and bedrooms Outdoor wood fired Hot tub available (extra charge arrange with Charl) The space Its a great space, unique and really a great base for exploring East north coast. The Nissan is peaceful and warm and very easy place to stay with some great touches. The bedroom is a large comfy kingsize and there is a handbuilt generous sized bunk beds. Lower bunk is single bed, upper is a child’s size. Can accommodate a family easily or travelling friends if you don't mind sharing the bedroom space. the living space is very generous 10mx5m on the Directions to Nissen please be aware that Airbnb keep listing us as wester rairchie cottages which we are not.. put in HMS Owl and follow the directions as per the HMS Owl (in my listings..) any probs call me!! Outdoor wood fired hottub £30 first night and £10 any additional night. Guest access the whole hut is yours obviously and there is a decking area and outside space and tables at front of hut that you welcome to enjoy. Other things to note Dogs can be accommodated and be aware we are surrounded by farming land and masses of livestock so dogs on leads please and with prior agreement. We have three very friendly dogs, a cat and free range hens sheep and pigs. If you don't like animals then we might not be the right place.
