Unwind in our beautiful, hand built shepherds hut, nestled on the edge of Poldice Valley. Enjoy starry skies from the wood fired hot tub & cosy nights snuggled in front of the log burner. The coast to coast trail is within walking distance for dog walkers & cyclists - a 45 min cycle path to Portreath beach. A perfect base to explore Cornwall. Just 6m from Truro, 8m from Falmouth & 5m to the closest beach. Bramble hut is within easy reach of the A30 for Landsend, St Ives & the Eden Project. The space Bramble hut is tucked away in a quiet corner of our beautiful, family garden. High bushes, traditional Cornish hedging and fruit trees create a peaceful, private space for you to relax and enjoy a perfect break. Our fully insulated shepherds hut can be enjoyed all year around and is installed with a wood burner and wood burning oven to keep you cosy on chilly nights. Enjoy a night under the stars, relaxing in a wood fired hot tub. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but we do ask that you keep them off the furniture and bed. So please bring with you your dog bed. The area is perfect for walking your pups, they will be spoilt for choice! Bramble is surprisingly spacious and has an ensuite shower and toilet. Bramble hut includes: A full sized double bed A wood fired hot tub All bed linen Towels Under bed storage for your luggage Kitchen area with a sink, fridge/freezer, kettle, electric hob & pots and pans. Plates, mugs, wine glasses and cutlery. Two chairs. A wood burner and wood burning oven (a generous amount of wood will be provided for your stay - more can be purchased if you should wish) Board games Decking area with outside seating. You will find an abundance of wildlife in the garden with regular visits from owls, bats, birds of prey, hedgehogs and even a woodpecker! We live on the property and are here if you should need us. Bramble hut has been lovingly handcrafted by ourselves as part of a family project. Photos of the build can be found on Insta by searching bramble_hut Guest access There is guest parking available at the house for one car. There is a bus stop just 2 minutes from the property, that links to both Redruth and Truro train stations for guests travelling without a car. This bus route also links into Truro and Falmouth. We are only 2 miles from the A30 so a great base to explore all of Cornwall. The local village of St Day is only a 10 minute walk away and includes two general shops and two pubs. Other things to note There are three steps up in to the hut and therefore may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please be aware that the hot tub can take up to 3 hours to get up to temperature. However, good things come to those who wait! We will provide you with the instructions to get started, as well as the first net of logs for your first night. If you want more logs we are happy to provide more at a small cost at £8 per bag, payable during your stay. This is a glamping experience. There is no Wi-Fi but fairly good mobile phone signal.
