This wonderful yurt is based around a traditional Mongolian yurt with beautifully painted hardwood poles and lattice walls. Lounge in the supremely comfortable king sized bed or soak in the freestanding rolltop bath with a glass of something fizzy. There is a fully kitted out kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm and a firepit outside to barbeque on and warm up those starlit evenings. Situated in an unspoilt corner of the Cotswolds enjoy long walks, farmers markets and country pubs The space This stylishly decorated yurt has everything you need for the perfect weekend away or short break in the Cotswolds. Luxurious "camping" with all of the fun and none of the hassle. You will hear the wildlife from your warm, snug bed and be able to enjoy some stargazing beside the fire (weather permitting of course). The Yurt is warm and cozy, surprisingly spacious and great fun. We love it and hope you will too. Less than 2 hours fom London and one hour from Bristol the Yurt is located at the heart of the Cotswolds. At the head of the Slad valley, made famous by Laurie Lee's book; Cider with Rosie. This idyllic part of the world has changed little since his time. The walk to his favourite pub, the Woolpack in Slad, takes an hour and half through glorious and unspoilt Cotswold countryside, or you can drive in under 10 minutes. Please be aware that, despite the "mod cons", this is still a tent and not a hotel room. You may have to walk accross the field in the dark and perhaps, the rain. There will be animal noises in the night and perhaps the odd spider inside. If you are not happy with that this is probably not the place for you. Guest access The is ample parking two minutes walk from the yurt. The nearest train station is Stroud, a 10 minute taxi ride from us. Other things to note The yurt is nestled in the corner of a field a short walk from the car. Bring wellies and torches in winter. We provide a wheelbarrow for you to ferry your things up and down.
