Tent in Terlingua

Ocotillos Village is a truly unique camping experience located right in the heart of Terlingua. Our A-frame wooden tents are equipped with a door and ceiling made of plexiglass that allows you to stargaze at night and see incredible views of the Chisos mountains in the day! Best sunrise you'll see! The space This is a great stay to enjoy a comfortable night under the stars. The view is absolutely incredible! This is a wooden A-frame structure, with a roof made of plexiglass to stargaze in comfort at night. The wall facing the mountains (which includes the door), is all made of plexiglass as well, for an amazing view of the mountains. Please note: Make sure you bring what you need. We do not provide linens or bedding for your stay - please bring your own. IMPORTANT: This Stargazer is further from the bathhouse than some of our other Stargazers. The distance from the Stargazer to the bathhouse is about 300 feet. You are more than welcome to drive down to the bathhouse and use the parking lot near there if needed. This Stargazer is closer to the street than our other Stargazers so there could be more road noise. There is wifi on the property, but it can be spotty in the Stargazer. The space includes: Queen mattress with mattress protector (no linens/bedding), electricity, mini split AC/heat unit, mini-fridge, single k-cup coffee maker, k-cups (no mugs or water), rug, LED lights, fire pit, shared bath house with hot showers (2 indoor and 1 outdoor) and 4 flushing toilets. The space does NOT include: Pillows, bed linens, towels, coffee mugs, chairs, flashlights, food, soaps, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies. There is no lock on the inside of the Stargazer, but has a rope latch from the outside and inside to close it. Guest access Parking for this Stargazer is at the front of the property, near the Stargazer. Other things to note Special consideration for camping: While this is an enclosed structure, it is still an outdoor camping experience. We work diligently to keep the Stargazers clean and free of bugs by regularly spraying around it, but this is the desert and bugs do sometimes find their way into the A-frame. We do not provide refunds due to the discomforts of nature or weather.
