Description
Our recently updated cottage in the village of Nefyn is the perfect place from which to enjoy all that the Llyn Peninsula has to offer. With 2 main bedrooms (1 King, 1 Double) it is ideally suited to a couple/2 couples who want to be close to the beautiful beach, the Wales Coast Path and yet stay in a village location with shops and places to eat/drink. We also have a loft room with twin beds that can be used by prior arrangement - details below A charming, cosy and welcoming home from home! The space A cosy 2 bedroom terraced cottage in the centre of the village of Nefyn. We are a few minutes walk to the Wales Coast Path and the stunning Nefyn Beach. From here you can easily walk along the headland to the famous Ty Coch Inn on the beach at Porthdinllaen - voted one of the best beach bars in the world! The village has some local shops including a very good Spar and pharmacy. A newly opened community pub Yr Heliwr which has become a real village hub. Around the corner is the Nanhoran Hotel which has a good bar and restaurant. Other local eating and drinking spots a short walk away from the cottage include Y Bryncynan, a newly refurbished pub on the outskirts of the village and the Cwr Llyn Brewery which is also definitely worth a visit. There are also takeaway options available in the village as well as a coffee shop and a new bakery and cafe located right on the beach. Further afield a short drive away and within easy reach are the towns of Pwllheli and Abersoch. We are also perfectly placed for those looking to enjoy outdoor activities whether this be paddle boarding or canoeing in the bay at Nefyn Beach, exploring the stunning scenery of the Wales Coast Path on foot or enjoying some spectacular golf at Nefyn Golf Club which is a few minutes drive from the cottage. For keen golfers Nefyn Golf Club has a 27 hole layout consisting of an 18 hole championship course and the world famous ‘Point’ which offers 9 holes of breathtaking golf along the thin stretch of land that extends out into the Irish Sea. Our cottage comprises an entrance hall which leads into our lounge/dining room. The lounge has 2 sofas around an open fire. We have a well equipped kitchen with oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. Washing machine is also available. To the rear of the cottage is our yard which is a real sun trap. We have installed some seating on the lower terrace perfect for daytime lounging or evening drinks and then on the upper terrace we have an outdoor dining table for al fresco dinners or even a bbq (Weber charcoal bbq available). Upstairs is a newly renovated bathroom with a large walk in electric shower. We provide Faith in Nature eco friendly toiletries (shampoo/soap/shower gel). There are 2 main bedrooms (one king and one double) both tastefully decorated. The master bedroom has fitted wardrobes and the second bedroom a modern clothes storage rail. Both with high quality linens and towels provided. We also have a loft room with twin beds which is available for use by prior arrangement (please contact us to ask about this). This would ideally suit a family with perhaps older children who would need separate bedrooms rather than a double bed. There is a set fee of £50 to cover use of this room and the associated cleaning and laundry. Guest access Our location in the centre of the village means everything is within easy reach. We especially love taking the 5 minute walk to the beautiful Nefyn beach - perfect for a daytime stroll or for evening drinks on the beach. Parking is on street at the front of the property on the opposite side of the road. It’s first come first served but there is usually somewhere to park. In the unlikely event that parking on the road outside the cottage is unavailable you won’t have to walk very far and parking around the village is unrestricted. We have never had a problem parking nearby. Other things to note Please note we do not accept Pets. Although we have stated the property is not suitable for younger children because of the steep stairs (outside and inside) it would be fine for older children or teenagers as part of a family group. If the loft room is used there is a small surcharge to cover additional laundry and cleaning. Please enquire if you need this room for your stay.
