The Forest Cabin Our peaceful cabin, set on over 70 acres of land, makes for a relaxing getaway- perfect for an individual or couple seeking to be surrounded by nature yet within a reasonable drive to area attractions. The cabin features thoughtfully appointed furnishings that ensure you will be comfortable. The queen-sized mattress is of the highest quality and makes for a great night’s sleep. The kitchen, though small, is well-equipped. The bathroom features a bathtub and shower. The space The Forest Cabin is located on 70 acres of our wildlife and botanical sanctuary. We are not far from Fairy Stone State Park and approximately 35 minutes to Floyd, VA and the Blue Ridge Mountain Hwy. Other things to note The historic Crooked Road Music Trail bends through Stuart and surrounding towns. Rocky Mount offers distilleries, breweries, a farmers market, shops, and good restaurants. It is also known for its hiking and mountain biking trails. In Ferrum, visit the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum of Ferrum College. Floyd and Meadows of Dan are fun places to have lunch and check out the local offerings, including the Floyd General Store with its delicious sandwiches and regular live music. Kayak or canoe for hours on Philpott Lake or swim at Fairy Stone Park.
