The Robyn's Nest; a refuge on the way to adventure

Cozy refuge perfect for couples. Situated off a scenic byway (13 miles to Bellingham, 38 miles to Mt. Baker Nat'l Wilderness) our proximity to the North Cascades, San Juan Islands & Canada, make us a great jumping off point for your next adventure. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or an Urbanite in search of night life & the perfect brew, be it coffee or beer, we welcome you! The Nest is not suitable for small children & due to allergies we can't accommodate pets. The space We built the Nest with our guests comfort in mind: king size bed with memory foam mattress, full size kitchen appliances, a washer and dryer for your use, (just bring your detergent) a private patio complete with fire pit and a cozy upper deck just perfect for that morning cup of coffee. There is also a comfortable sitting area with plenty of light, shelves lined with books and games, large screen Roku TV providing you with things to do if you just want to stay in and relax. The studio apartment was built over our garage, with its own private keyless entry. You will have all the privacy you need to come and go as you please! Our location with its close proximity to the mountains, the ocean, the country or the city, provides the perfect jumping off point to your next adventure! Guest access As guests of The Robyn's Nest you will have your own parking space in our well lit driveway. We have one motion sensor security camera that overlooks our driveway/guest parking for added security. While we do not have an EV charger, we do have external outlets with 220, which our guests with electric cars have utilized. You have full access to the ground level private patio complete with camp chairs and a gas fire pit. The upper deck is also private -- the perfect place for morning contemplation or watching the sunset. The apartment is attached to our house but is completely private and self contained. Other things to note We supply enough coffee, tea and light snacks to cover a 1-2 night stay. The kitchen has a full size fridge, stove and microwave. Toaster, Coffee maker (4 cup auto drip & french press) coffee, cream & sweetners, cooking and serving utensils and dishes are also provided. We have cell service. Our internet was recently updated to Ziply fiber optics. Also of note: the bottom sheet on the bed is from a company called Quick Zip. It allows us to change the bottom sheet easily by just zipping it off. It might not match the top sheet, but it is a life saver on our shoulders! There are disposable eye masks in the night stand if you should need them. The Nest has a ductless heat pump which provides both heat and ac as needed. Deming is a rural little town just off a scenic byway known to the locals as the Mt. Baker Highway. There's a high school nearby and from our upper deck you can see the schools athletic field. Occasionally you may hear a train as the Burlington Northern Railroad is about a quarter mile away. There is a restaurant a stone's throw from our home. Several other cafes and coffee shops are within close driving distance. The nearest grocery store is just 3 miles away so you'll be able to easily pick up things you need. Also provided is a more detailed booklet of places to eat, things to see and do. And we are always just a text away if you have questions or concerns.
