The Koeienstal

At the edge of the beautiful Landgoed Appel is this cottage. The old cow barn on our property has been converted into a vacation home with bathroom, kitchen with dishwasher and separate toilet. Downstairs is a double bed and on the loft, 3 people can sleep. In the middle of nature with forest, heath, fens and farmland. Voorthuizen is 15 minutes away by bike, as well as the Zeumeren recreation area. The nearest station is in Barneveld, 4 km away. In short, a gem in the middle of the country. Bring your own linen? Look at the nature house. The space The Koeienstal has a kitchenette with a dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and air conditioning in the cottage. In the adjacent shed, there is a large refrigerator with freezer. There is a separate toilet and a bathroom with a spacious walk-in rain shower. In the hall, you come with a staircase to the loft where there is a bunk bed and possibly an extra mattress or crib can be placed. Downstairs is the double bed. The Koeienstal has a private terrace with a beautiful garden where there is also playground equipment. From De Koeienstal and the terrace, you have fantastic views over the countryside. Waking up in De Koeienstal is a special experience! Enjoy peace, space and comfort. On our own grounds, there is a paddock, orchard, bird spot cottage, herb garden and forest. From De Koeienstal, it is only a 50m walk to a junction of 3 clog paths. There are also several ANWB cycling routes in the immediate vicinity. You can explore the Landgoed Appel via the hiking and biking trails. Nature is diverse: forest, heath, fens and farmland. It is a beautiful cultural and historical landscape. The cozy village of Voorthuizen is a fifteen-minute bike ride away, as is the Zeumeren recreation area where there are swimming and water sports. In Barneveld, the nearest station is only 4 km away. Other things to note We have our own (domestic) animals: dogs, cats, mini horses, chickens and ducks. If you bring a pet, it is nice if it is kept on a leash in the yard. In the warmer periods, there are sometimes many mosquitoes. There are mosquito nets by the beds. It may be useful to bring anti-mosquito spray.
