Description
This garage apartment is situated on 2.5 acres of tree bordered land. We have lovely views and quiet surroundings, but our central location make it quick and easy to get anywhere in the Tri-Cities (less than 1 mile from ETSU). Decorated with items that show our love for ETSU, Johnson City and travel, we want you to be comfortable and relaxed. Guests can also enjoy the quiet backyard and patio for a bit of fresh mountain air and relaxation! Great for families! The space This apartment is approximately 900 square feet and set up for short term stays with a keypad on the door. Located above our garage with stair access and parking just outside in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Open floor plan with 2 bedrooms, one with a king and one with a queen pillow top mattress. The sofa converts into an over-sized twin. All beds and pillows have allergy protectors. There is one full bath with tub/shower. The large kitchen has everything needed to cook (but why would you with so many great restaurants in town). There is a dining table and a comfortable living room. Host provides starter supply of coffee and tea. We have also stocked starter quantities of necessities such as toilet paper, custom locally made bath soap, paper towels, etc. to get your stay started. We have a digital antenna for local TV channel access and a Roku, which allows access to Hulu, Netflix, etc., so feel free to log in and enjoy. Just make sure to log out when you check out. For the more active guest, we have a basketball goal and many have gotten really competitive and played a rousing game of chess! This quiet space is attached to our home, yet with complete privacy as there are no shared walls. Guest access We have a fully automated self check-in system and your personal entry code is sent to you upon booking. Since our home is attached to this guest space, we will be on the property, but will not be in your space. Other things to note This is a Smoke Free Property (including vaping). You will have to climb a full flight of stairs to access this listing, and the tub/shower requires being able to step over the tub sides. Guests may hear our garage door opening/closing between the hours of 7a-10p, but we have had long term renters in this space for years before furnishing it, and they said it was never an issue. We definitely try to limit usage when guests are on site. Guests staying 8 nights or more can also have access to a private washer/dryer. It's good to bring slippers or socks since carpeting and rugs are minimal on a tile floor for cleanliness and safety reasons. Only registered guests should be on property. A Ring video doorbell has been added to monitor the exterior of our home and give one more way to make entry easier. You don’t have to use the doorbell unless you’re struggling with the keyless entry. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and other policies noted here. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in the public areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund.
