18th Century Cottage Annex - nearJurassic Coast

The annex is private and comfy, in a quiet country setting, located on the border of Dorset & Somerset, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The famous Jurassic Coast is a 20 minute drive and the closest pub a mere 2 minute drive away.(20 min walk) There is an open plan living room with double doors that open onto a deck over looking a private garden below. There are a number of scenic walks to explore from the annex. Crewkerne-a few minutes away has Waitrose, lidl, Boots, Savers & Poundland. The space Children: No children under 8, the unit is not set up for very young children. We allow 1 small, well behaved dog on request only. LONG TERM: We are set up for long term rentals, with washing machine, full stove, under counter fridge/freezer, plenty of hanging space. We also have a small workstation available. We have had many happy monthly guests. Upstairs - you will enter the unit from stairs onto a wooden deck, which has a small table and 2 chairs for relaxing outside during the day. The upstairs section of the unit is a fairly large open plan, with a lounge and dining area. The lounge contains a large sofa, which folds out into a double bed for extra guests(book for 3 to make use of it and I will set it up with egg box topper and bedding) and a large TV (Netflix & Amazon Prime) The dinning area has a table and 4 chairs. There is a kitchen, with oven & hob, microwave, Nespresso machine, under counter fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. The unit has a wall fan and central heating through out. Downstairs - is the main bedroom with comfortable king bed, fan, free standing clothing rail, shelving and wall mounted towel rail. Leading off the room is a modern wet room (toilet, basin and open shower) with a large window that look out onto a private enclosed garden. Outside - has a lovely fully enclosed private garden with table, chairs and Weber BQ with cooking implements. Please bring all you need with you to make use of the BQ. Empty charcoal into the garden once cool(good for the soil) leave in a good condition for the next guest. Fast Free Wi-Fi is available through out the unit. There is 1 free parking designated to the unit and is situated in the driveway, on the righthand side, outside the main cottage door. There is alternative off street parking, next to the house if your vehicle is too large, you are unsure of the narrow lane or have a second car. Guest access If you want to make use of the sleeper sofa please book for 3 and then message me so I know. Also if you can let me know if your guest is an adult or a child, as well as the child’s age. There is a Key lockbox on the wall where you will park. The code will be sent to you before your arrival. You have private use of the entire annex, your deck and garden. Other things to note A perfect location in Dorset but bordering Somerset and Devon so these counties are easy to explore as well. From the annex there are many lovely walks through the farmlands and along the Parrett River. A map in unit. A large selection of recommended local eating places and 2 fantastic pubs a short drive drive away. 2 & 4 mins. (more details in my guide in the unit) you can walk through the farmland.(Approx 20-25 Mins) Beautiful drives in every direction: Many Jurassic Coast Beaches to visit: Under 20 miles to most of them. West Bay - has markets, beach walks, Rise Cafe - an amazing spot for breakfast, lunch, supper or a drink, Cornish Pie Shop, Rubicon for delicious fish, art gallery and much more. Bridport - with Wednesday & Saturday street markets and lovely eating places. Seatown Beach - lovely walks and fantastic restaurant and bar with great views. Lyme Regis - beautiful coastal town, with an original stone ground mill still in operation, Brewery, beach walks, quaint shops, many eating places. Amidst Giants&Idols for great coffee, Swim - Breakfast, lunch or supper. Weymouth, Portland Island, Chesil Beach all worth a visit each one beautiful in their own right. 15 mins to the market town of Beaminster - co-op, shops and restaurants. A few minutes to Crewkerne which is a large town that offers many shops, including a large Waitrose, Poundland, Lidl, Savers, Boots, numerous charity shops and eating places. There is lovely walks at The Bincombe Beeches Nature Reserve as well as Ham Hill, Ham Hill has a great pub to finish off your walk or stay for dinner.
