Låven Lodge - Ekkerkanten
Description
Ekkerkanten contains a bunk bed and a double bed of 140 cm. Nearby is the room Jordbærhuset, which is a twin room. The rooms are in the barn which is one of twenty buildings on the old farm that stretches from fjord to mountain. In addition to cozy rooms for serving, large kitchen and two bathrooms, the barn houses a barn for sheep, chicken coop and stables. There may be several guests present with whom you share bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms. There is wifi in the premises. It is possible to order breakfast and dinner. The space In summer, you can enjoy our small, nice beach, boat dock and rich bathing jetty. This has diving towers of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 meters, as well as several benches. This is also a nice place to stand and fish. At the old boathouse from 1615, you can grill on a campfire pan and eat at the tables made of the farm's own timber. The farm has two yards with several gardens and barbecue areas. For the children, there is a sandbox, trampoline and toy tractors. There are also many animals you can greet, such as llamas, goats, dogs, chickens, sheep and horses. There are many nice hiking destinations around the farm, and we especially recommend the short walk to the lighthouse and the slightly more demanding walk up to the farm's pastures. Up the slope to Klokkarhaugen on skis in winter, gives magnificent mountain experiences. In addition, it is only a short drive by car to the village alpine center and a larger facility for cross-country skiing. A hiking trail to the neighboring village, Stangvik, is under construction. This will have a universal design. Eventually, there will be more trails for downhill cycling, which will eventually constitute the Owl Bike Park. In addition to the rooms in the barn, we have two parking spaces for motorhomes, and from 2026 we will offer a hammock tent camp. A small tent area in the garden is also under planning. The main project on the farm is the construction of Ugla Bike Park. The hiking trail, Ørnhammerstien, is the first construction step and this has its start on the farm, and ends in the neighboring village, Stangvik by the fjord on the other side of the mountain. The goal is to complete this trail by 2026. This trail has a universal design. It is possible to book guided tours within various themes: farm animals, historical cultural hiking in the several hundred-year-old buildings, mountain climbing, mountain hiking, top skiing, and mountain biking. Guest access In addition to the bedrooms rented, guests have access to the dining room, kitchen and the two bathrooms. They also have access to all outdoor areas on the farm, including the areas by the lake. Free use of the barbecue areas, also the fireplace in the farm's forge. Also free use of beach and jetties is included, then at your own risk. The beds are made with cozy bed linen, and towels are provided in the rooms. The kitchen is equipped with all household utensils. There is also a coffee maker, capsule machine, toaster, kettle and microwave. Each room has its own shelf in the fridge. In one bathroom there is a washing machine, and in the other bathroom there is a dressing table. There is wifi in the rooms. During your stay I am mostly to be found on the farm, but the area is large, so it is probably easiest to call me😊 Other things to note The cities of Trondheim, Kristiansund and Molde are all about two hours drive away. If you arrive in one of the cities by plane, you can take a bus to Skei which is the center of Surnadal. We can drive you from there and out to the farm, a drive that takes about 20 minutes. In our region you can experience the Atlantic Road, Aursjøveien, the kingdom of the trolls ITrollheimen, Norway's most beautiful valley, Innerdalen, islands like Grip and mountains like Romsdalseggen. In the village of Surnadal, you can use the ski resort Nordmarka Skisenter, Surnadal Alpinsenter, Surnadal Golf Course, Øye Disc Golf Course and eventually, Ugla Bike Park.
