Once you’ve arrived and settled in, no need to drive or take taxies. The apartment is located at Walmgate Bar, one of York’s City gates, so most things are within easy walking distance, including local shops and amenities. Strolling down Walmgate towards the City center you will find an astonishing array of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets from affordable street food to gourmet dining. Walk on to The Shambles, Yorvic and other major attractions. (pls note. no children under 12yrs) The space The apartment is on the 1st floor with the living/ dining room looking out over the city walls, and being west facing, sunlight beams in during the afternoon and early evening. The apartment is cosy and warm, with adjustable heating in all rooms. The living room has 65ins 4k TV, with a BT TV box supplying all terrestrial channels, plus apps such as Netflix, Prime and others. (you will need to log in to those apps with your own login details to obtain reception). High speed wifi available in all rooms. The main bedroom has a King sized bed, plus Wardrobe, and two bedside tables for your cloths and belonging during your stay. The second bedroom has two adult sized bunk beds. The bathroom has a full size bath, plus electric shower. The hot water is supplied from mains pressure water heater in the adjacent cupboard. The kitchen has an electric oven with timer, an electric hob, Dish washer, cloths washer/dryer and a microwave. There is also a slow cooker and high speed kettle. There is an Iron in the upper kitchen cupboard and an ironing board at the side of the Bunk Beds. The apartment is up one flight of stairs from the building entranceway to the 1st Floor. The apartment comes with one free designated parking space. Guest access There are many regular bus services running along the road in front of the property which could take you to the city center, railway station and outlying regions. Numerous Taxi services operate in York, including Uber. If you want to book a taxi for a particular time we would recommend Streamline Taxis. However, the the apartment is within easy walking distance of all the city centre attractions as well as many local shops, restaurants and amenities. There is a small Co-op shop just a 200 meters away from the apartment selling all the things you might need on arrival. Slightly further away, but still within walking distance, we have Waitrose and Morrisons. Other things to note Please note.. the apartment is only suitable for adults and children 12 years of age and over. We've set a restriction on children under 12 years of age for safety reasons and to reduce any potential noise to neighbours.
