The Villas are names after unique and locally found native Australian birds: The Gang Gang Cockatoo & The Kookaburra. Gang Gang for short, is a distinctive and charismatic small stocky cocky. Slate grey in colour very similar in shape to a Gallah, the male has a signature scarlet head and wispy crest, the females a dark grey head and crest, Gang Gang Cockatoos pair for life with lifespans of 50 years. A Kookaburra is instantly recognisable with its brilliant blues and raucous cackle, a hearty 'koo-koo-koo-koo-koo-kaa-kaa-kaa' often with others joining the chorus. A baby Kooka learning its laugh will have you laughing with it! Kookaburras pair for life and are quite tame around humans, with a lifespan of 20 years. Watch them … they might even pinch a snag off the barbie! We do not have Wi-Fi. Mobile internet reception in regional Victoria is patchy, some spots will have okay coverage others will not. Bits & pieces provided on arrival to kick off your stay: Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, small long life milk & sugar. S&P & tomato sauce. TP, tissues, papertowel, kitchen cleaning supplies. Keeping our environment in mind & in effort to reduce single-use plastics, we do not provide individual bathroom items such as shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Refillable hand soap is provided. The fireplace in the open living room is easy to light. There is kindling, matches, newspaper & a firelighter for you to set and light the fire. The firebox will be cleaned out before your stay however a layer of sand/ ash will remain as this prevents damage to the firebox itself, and some larger coals or unburnt timber will stay in the box as this assists with relighting the fire. Once the fire is lit the glass door is to stay closed and secured unless putting wood on. The washing machine can only be used with cold water cycle. The cycle select dial on the machine has a pull up function in order to start the machine. The washing machine & dryer will both have the power points off when you arrive. {Advisable not feed the wildlife as our food is not good for their tummies}.
