The space Santa Fe was just named Travel & Leisure #1 best travel city in American 2025 Casa Cochiti is a truly unique respite from the busy world. I'm a chef in NYC but my heart is in New Mexico. I visit Casa Cochiti as much as I possibly can but when I'm not there, it's yours! Quick Great Stuff: -3 wood burning kiva fireplaces (split firewood provided) -In a small community, yet complete privacy w/ no neighbors visible from anywhere in the home or within adobe wall. -Beautiful wrap around patio -Super fast internet & printer -Central air conditioning & heat -Thoughtfully styled -Across from the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado great for spa, dining, sunset cocktails, live music on Friday nights etc... -Seasonal outdoor pool amid peaceful aspen trees enclosed by an adobe wall with an individual access code for each home(June-September) - Vista for coffee & cocktails -Tequila & simple syrup stocked for those who like making margaritas (just add limes!) The space You first enter the private patio enclosed by an adobe wall w/ a handmade iron gate. Parking is adjacent to the house in a gravel parking area. The patio is amazing! It has unobstructed views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains (Blood of Christ as they turn deep orange at sunset) w/ an outdoor wood burning kiva & large harvest table for dining. I plant outdoor herb boxes in the summer for everyone's use and many resident birds (including Frank the roadrunner & Florence the nighthawk) keep us company in the Juniper bushes & Pinon pines. You can often hear the coyotes yipping up on the mesa at night & there is a dark sky ordinance, ensuring blankets of stars for gazing at night. Entering the house into the living room, low slung furniture, natural light, lots of art and another kiva fireplace keep this living space super cozy. There is a small bar with tequila & cointreau to make a welcome margarita (just add fresh limes) Every piece of furniture, art and textile is collected by me. Some came from my parents house in Pennsylvania, other pieces from estate sales, yard sales and even curbside found objects! The couch is the dream sofa & has plenty of room for lounging and napping. The Roku TV comes with Disney, Netflix, Hulu. HBO channel etc... etc...(but you need an account). The kitchen has been recently renovated with a rustic elegance. Terra cotta floors, tumbled Italian marble backsplash, a large farm house sink & my Mom & Dad's vintage Time Life series cookbooks create a warm vibe. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need (or close to it). The list is long but some highlights are: 2 different coffee makers, Vitamix blender, All-Clad pots and pans, immersion blender, mandolin slicer, coffee/spice grinder, Wusthof knives, electric juicer, porcelain platters & serving bowls, cook books, spices & staples. There's a breakfast bar which duos as a kitchen island repurposed from an old 1800's New Mexican farm table. ***please note, there is no microwave The dining room is open format and adjacent to the kitchen. There is an expandable mid-century dining table that can seat up to 10 guests. Down the hall you'll find a bathroom, washer/dryer/laundry area and shower. These are all adjacent to the guest bedroom which has a large closet & super comfy queen sized bed with organic cotton sheets The larger of the two bedrooms is down 2 steps on the lower level. This room has an entire wall of windows, king size bed, kiva fireplace, walk-in closet, extra split unit AC & private entrance onto the patio. If you step up the large stone, over the adobe wall on the patio you'll find the perfect vista for your early morning coffee or evening sunset cocktail in the Adirondack chairs w/table. And when you're done lounging on the patio or drinking coffee on the vista, there is so much to do! On the larger 99 acre Pueblo Encantado property is an outdoor pool w/ private access which is a perfect place to while away the hours (June through September) There are endless hiking trails, including across the street and the exclusive Four Seasons Rancho Encantado. The home is outfitted with tennis racquets, golf clubs (ask me for the local courses), pool towels, fly fishing gear & lots of natural history & hiking trail books If you choose to stay at Casa Cochiti, I'll send you my own guide to what to see, do & eat! Enjoy your stay and everything that New Mexico has to offer! Guest access Private parking is available & a car is needed for transportation. Other things to note Just one note: there is a single security camera at the front entrance of the gate that points towards the driveway. This is only a security measure to monitor any vehicle traffic. There are no other security cameras on the property.
