Your host is in an adjacent wing of the house but you will be at HOME during your stay The space Welcome to a family vacation in the countryside in Perche at the southern tip of Normandy with llamas, horses, cows, donkeys, dogs and chickens!!! We also speak English and Spanish! Here is some more detailed information about the accommodation which is about 300 m2: THE KITCHEN: It has two dishwashers: 1 under the sink and another in the pantry. two American fridges with built-in freezer. a large stone sink, 4 halogen cooktops, 1 oven (be careful when opening it when it is hot to MOVE AWAY), 1 microwave oven, 1 kettle, 1 toaster, an automatic coffee maker (the coffee maker manual is stored under the towel drawer to the left of the sink), 1 bread maker, 1 electric vegetable cutter, 1 orange juice machine (don't forget to empty the side trays in the trash, and wait 2 minutes after the machine stops before removing your glass). In the cupboard under the sink you will find garbage bags, cleaning products, and dishwasher tablets. In the other cupboards you will find dishes and basic products (sugar, pasta, rice, coffee beans and oil, some canned goods...). Cutlery is in the drawers. There are several cutting boards above the microwave. There are various and varied condiments next to the stove. There are dishcloths and towels in the drawer and under the same drawer next to the sink on the left. There is a very large garbage can to the left of the oven (the household waste garbage cans are to be thrown away at the entrance of the path, please do not leave the full bags outside to prevent animals from coming to pick them up, you have a waiting garbage can under the lean-to outside if you do not wish to go to the entrance of the path immediately, please close the lid tightly and do not forget to throw it away before leaving). There are 2 bins under the lean-to outside (1 for glass and 1 for paper and cardboard, please close them after use to prevent dogs from rummaging through them). In the pantry, on the right shelves, you will find extra dishes and cutlery, raclette and fondue sets, and on the left shelf, paper towels. You will also find in addition to the cordless Dyson next to the fridges, another bagless vacuum cleaner and various brooms and buckets. For you! Whenever possible, please "recharge" what you consume for those who arrive after you. If some of the perishable products mentioned are missing, please excuse me in advance, this can happen depending on the consumption of previous users, but in general, I refill as soon as I think about it! BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS: Beds are made upon arrival, and towels are in the bathrooms. The cabinet under the TV in the second-floor dorm contains extra sheets, pillows, and duvets. You will also find bath mats and toilet paper and some hygiene products in each bathroom. Extra towels are in the bathroom of bedroom no. 3 (on the first floor). Everything is washed and dried on very hot settings. However, if you really do not want to use this linen, please let me know so that it can be removed immediately for ecological reasons (reusable therefore). The sanitary facilities are connected to an all-water tank, which does not accept non-biodegradable materials (please use the bins provided for this purpose). LIVING ROOM: You can turn off the sign that turns on and off automatically by pressing the blue button on the socket at the foot of the Water Ski. LEISURE: Bicycles are available. I don't guarantee their perfect condition but overall they work. Please take care of them. There is a Roman chair outside (fitness equipment), please use it with care, its use is not recommended for minors for safety reasons (it is not fixed to the ground). Games are behind the bar. There are books in room #3, you can take the book you started and if possible leave a book that belongs to you for the next guests. The living room TV has classic TNT channels and NETFLIX, Prime VIDEO. Please log in to the Stéphane profile and do not generate an additional purchase request so as not to block the account. Internet: we have unlimited internet access throughout the house with a Satellite connection. Technically, a decrease in speed can be observed, especially if several people use applications with high data consumption such as streaming or Internet TV. We'll send you the wifi code upon check-in. SAFETY: There's a fire extinguisher to the left of the fridges. There is a first-aid kit with some basic medicines in the downstairs bathroom (under your responsibility). The bay windows overlooking the garden open with the handle down and close with the handle up and then a turn of the key. We will give you a set of keys upon arrival, even if the area is relatively quiet, do not hesitate to lock if you leave the house. FIRE PIT, STOVE, BARBECUE: The brazier, stove and gas barbecue are always used under permanent and very strict supervision if there are children, and at your own risk. The stove is always used with the glass door closed. Please do not place anything on the stove, or in the fireplace as the heat can increase very quickly. Please be particularly vigilant when closing the stove door, so that nothing hinders its closure, as you could break the glass wall. The glass wall can be cleaned (only when it is cold) with a paper towel or a cloth soaked in hot water and a little ash. Do not use other products or sponges or any abrasives to clean the glass wall as this may scratch it. You can use the wood (if there is any!) located outside on the chimney side (you can use the door on the right) for the stove and the brazier. If there is no more wood, it is because I did not have time to saw it or the previous occupants consumed everything… You can pick up and use the fallen wood around the ponds at your convenience. Ditto, there are firelighters (if any left!) to the right of the fireplace in the white pot. You can find them in the usual stores (Bricomarché or Leclerc in La Ferté Bernard for example). There is normally always a full gas bottle and a bottle in progress for the plancha, please leave the empty bottle outside the barbecue if necessary so that I can replace it for the next guests. If both are empty, you can find them in the usual stores (Bricomarché or Leclerc in La Ferté Bernard for example). PARKING: You can park (free of charge) in the parking lot to the right of the house when you arrive (be careful of the stone wall that surrounds it and which may be covered by vegetation) or in front of the house, as you prefer THE PONDS: The ponds are not fenced and we thank you for being particularly vigilant during your stay, especially if you have children who cannot swim. You can fish with a rod at will, free to take or leave the fish (several carp and pike have already been caught). We do not have a fishing rod but you can freely use your equipment. If you feel tired when you fish, feel free to borrow a white chair from the terrace, please remember to put it back up after fishing. The boat can be used at will under your responsibility, don't forget to tie it to a tree when you return, the water is cold if I have to go get it in the middle of the pond! ANIMALS: We have many animals that move freely on the fenced property of the house. The fence is electric and even if there is no danger, contact with a wire is particularly unpleasant. Llamas, horses and donkeys are by nature not very aggressive animals. Cows can be more temperamental and in any case we ask you to be vigilant especially with young children. You can observe them at will and we thank you FOR NOT FEEDING THEM: you could harm them by wanting to do them good. They are sensitive to voice and whistling, and by nature curious so you will have no trouble observing them during your stay. They are sometimes unavailable or busy with something else! Please respect their freedom and wait or come back later. Please do not open the electric fences to prevent any incidents or escapes. The rooster and hens live about thirty meters from the house in a hen house, please do not open their enclosure. We haven't found a way for the rooster to sing at a fixed time yet! He sings whenever he wants! … It's part of the local charm… PLEASE DON'T FEED THEM Dogs: We have 4 dogs of very different ages and personalities. All 4 are used to the presence of many guests and are very affectionate. They are very free on the property during the day and may be brought into the living room (in any case they sleep in the private wing at night). Don't leave food lying around within their reach as they could easily be tempted… If they are too affectionate, they all understand the word "NO" pronounced in a clear and firm manner. PLEASE DO NOT FEED THEM The animals require daily supervision and care, so I am present on the property to take care of the animals and in a wing of the private house. But don't worry, you'll be at HOME for the time of your stay! I know how to be discreet! Feel free to contact me or ask me any questions you have during your stay, I will try to answer you and make your stay as "fun" and enjoyable as possible. OUTSIDE: The outdoor light switch is located in the electrical panel located behind the bar (green light = light off, red light = light on), a timer systematically turns this light off at sunrise every day, but please turn it off if you no longer need it. You can move freely around the property outside the spaces surrounded by the electric fence. Use the terrace and the "woodybeds" as you see fit, feel free to use the living room plaids outside if it makes you happy! CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIME: Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 12pm. If you wish to arrive or depart outside these hours, please let us know 48 hours before your arrival, we will do our best to accommodate you based on other guests. MISCELLANEOUS: The bar: In accordance with French law, we are not allowed to serve alcohol for a fee or free of charge. Thank you in advance for not consuming the alcohol from any bottles that may be present in the bar. The entire property is "non-smoking", you are free to smoke outside (ashtrays are available in the kitchen). No pets allowed. We prefer to host families and do not allow parties and events in our home. To avoid any misunderstanding, please note our Guest Manual is only available in French.
