Prefer a firmer sleep? The Tuft and Needle Queen mattress in the front bedroom offers gentle support for a restful slumber. The front bedroom's Murphy bed, with its plush Siena Memory Foam Mattress, is ready for you upon request. ***2 Bathrooms*** The main bathroom invites you to relax with a deep soaking tub and shower combo. In the back bedroom's ensuite, a spacious two-headed shower offers a spa-like experience. ***Kitchen*** Guests rave about our thoughtfully stocked chef's kitchen. With an expansive island for gathering, a Samsung range with a 5-element cooktop, and all the cookware you could need, preparing delicious meals will feel effortless. Guest access Guests will have access to our home and the surrounding acreage. The Hideaway is located at the end of the driveway and backs up to Green Diamond Resource Company Land (look it up). We have access to this land through 3 short trails at the back of the property. If you're curious about these trails and where they go, Google Maps and AllTrails are both good apps for navigating. There is plenty of parking. You can charge your electric vehicle with our RV hook-up; just remember to bring your Portable Level 2 Charger. The outlet and an extension cord are located on the side of the house by the artificial turf. Other things to note Are you traveling alone? Ask about our single traveler special. EXTRAS!! Are you celebrating a special occasion and would like a few extras? Please let us know; we can arrange an in-home massage for you. Do you know you'll be hungry when you arrive and want something to snack on? Let us know! Your host is a certified WA state food handler and could put a charcuterie board, fruit platter, or dessert tray together for you. Do you want to use the canoe but avoid loading it on and off your car? Let us know, and we can provide the canoe transportation to the lake and back. Ask about the list of extras! OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE If your pet or pets will accompany you, please make sure to register your pet/pay the pet fee. This automatically lets us know that you are bringing a pet, and then we can prepare for them before and after your stay. If you neglect to pay this fee and show up with a pet, you will be charged triple our standard pet fee. There is enough space for six guests. The desk in the 2nd bedroom has a Murphy bed and pulls out to sleep two on a queen mattress. There is also a twin cot with a thin mattress suitable for children under 60 lbs. Or the mattress can also be added to the sofa for an adult to sleep there. We recommend that guests sleep on the leather sofa with the added comfort of the cot mattress. If you plan to have a guest in your party sleep on the sofa, please let us know, and we will provide instructions on where to find the linens for the single mattress. We only have beach swimming access along the Hood Canal at the Twanoh State Park (You will need a Discovery pass to park here). Or, you can rent small water crafts from SUP boards to pontoon boats at The Alderbrook Resort and Spa. The Hideaway does not include private access to Mason Lake. There is public access to Mason Lake by way of the Public Dock/Boat Launch. This area is excellent for guests who plan to bring their boats with them or use the provided canoe or kayaks. Because of the boat traffic, this area is not ideal for swimming. If you want to swim in a lake, drive to Lake Cushman. There is plenty of public access, and it's also a beautiful area for hiking.
