Mc Courts barn comprises of a small open plan living/dining/kitchen area with shower room downstairs. The stairwell leads to a mezzanine bedroom with king size bed where you have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside from the comfort of the bed! The mezzanine has a Very low ceiling height, you will have to negotiate this lack of head height, but what else are beds for, only lying down?? Ideally suited for two people. *** HOT TUB AND WIFI ARE INCLUDED*** Mc Courts barn is approx 2 miles from the centre of Hilltown village yet you feel like your miles away from anywhere. It is a place that needs to be experienced to truly appreciate the amazing peaceful surroundings. Overlooking Newry city from afar and the magnificent rolling hills of the Mourne countryside. This place is perfect for those who are keen Walkers, Cyclists, Mountain bikers, budding photographers and those who wish to get away from it all. Paragliders love to use this location throughout the year, so if you are lucky enough you can watch them from the front garden, it really is a fantastic sight. An ideal base for those wishing to explore the Majestic Mourne Mountains. The famous Royal County Down Golf Club is only a short drive away. Newry is but a 20min drive away for all that retail therapy and much much more. Castlewellan is also 20 mins away, home to the fabulous Castlewellan forest park . Newcastle is the neighbouring seaside town of Castlewellan and has spectacular promenade and beautiful beaches and also home to Tollymore Forest Park, definitely worth a visit. Rostrevor is a 15 minutes drive away where you have Kilbroney Forest park and also a newly opened Mountain bike Centre which is believed to be the top spot for mountain biking in Ireland! Warrenpoint is a 5 minutes drive from Rostrevor and is a hub of activity for all ages. Guest access There is a cottage right next door (Mc Courts Cottage) that is also available to book for larger groups. Availability for the barn will mean there will be no one staying in the larger cottage so you will have the place all to yourself :-) Other things to note There is a long lane leading to the barn & cottage, please drive slowly. Only those who are booked to stay will be permitted access.
