Enjoy the privacy of a rustic cabin 10 feet from the shore of Amabjejus Lake. Take in gorgeous sunsets on this west facing waterfront looking across the lake to the historic Ambajejus Boom House. Listen to loons at night and watch bald eagles flying overhead in the day. The cabin is furnished with a full size bed, toddler bed, table and 4 chairs. There is a picnic table, fire ring and a tent site for up to a 4 person tent. You are also welcome to use a small sandy beach shared with the owners. Loon Point Cabin is a primitive 1 room 16'x12' cabin. There is also a tent site, picnic table and fire pit. The cabin has no electricity, running water or heat. You will need to bring your own water, camp stove, cookware, lantern, headlamps, etc as if you were camping. We provide a fitted and top sheet on the beds. You will need to provide your own pillows, bedding or sleeping bags. There is an outhouse on the property which you will share with the owners or their guests if they are present. We also have canoes, paddles and life jackets available to use at no additional charge. We always have 1 canoe out. If you need more than 1, please let us know. You are also welcome to bring your own canoe, kayaks or paddle boards. During the summer months there is also a swim dock with a diving board. The cabin is located on an acre of waterfront land where the owners were in the process of building a residence. In November 2022 we suffered a fire that burned the camp completely to the ground. As a result when you pull into the property you will be facing a burned out foundation and notice a lot of scorched trees and grass. The cabin itself suffered no damage and your views of the water will be unchanged. We will be relocating and rebuilding the outhouse which was damaged by the fire. You will access the cabin on 2.5 miles of dirt camp road off the main road to Baxter State Park. The last .2 miles are a little rough and narrow. We did drag the road this spring so most vehicles should be able to get there without any trouble. If you have any concerns about getting there please send us a message. I most likely will not be on the property but am availabe if necessary most of the time. For quicker response text or call my cell phone which is included in my profile. (Airbnb doesn't allow it to be listed here.) The map has been updated to show the actual location. Cabin and campsite is on a very private point on Ambajejus Lake looking across to the Ambajejsus Boom House. We are 2.5 miles of dirt camp roads from the Baxter State Park Road. Location is about 10 miles north of Millinocket and less than 10 miles from the southern entrance of Baxter State Park. If you see an address associated with the listing it is for Katahdin Air Service because it is the closest location with an address to our cabin. Go by the map and GPS coordinates provided. There are also maps in the pictures with the approximate location circled. Accessible by car, motocycle, bike or watercraft. Parking for 1 vehicle. If you are a couple with more than 2 children please check with us. We would love to accomodate you if possible.
