The Old Map Shop

The Old Map Shop was originally part of the village school. In more recent times it was a map shop, but then lay empty for a number of years before it was sensitively converted into a holiday property in 2020 - 2021. Caldbeck has a pub, cafes and a few shops. It is a great base for exploring the northern fells or for a stop on the Cumbria Way. The space Upstairs, in the old schoolroom, there is an open plan kitchen/ living /dining area with a log burning stove and smart TV. There is a sofa bed which can accommodate a third guest for an additional charge. There is a view across neighbouring fields and access to a small outside area at the top of the external stairs. Downstairs is a double bedroom. The bed has a comfortable memory foam mattress and there is a wardrobe with a drawer below. Next to the bedroom is a bathroom with a walk in shower. In the hallway is a coat rack and a tray for boots. Slippers are provided. Guest access The house is just for you. Other things to note The property may not be suitable for small children once they are mobile as the staircase leads directly down from the living room.
