Island Girl

Guest House Island Girl is a newer Japanese style country house located on a secluded island, Ushi-Shima (Ushijima). Sleeping is on futons and the kitchen is modern. A short stroll takes you to the sea where you can explore the shore or go swimming, in season. The hills are wooded and birds abound. There are rice paddies, gardens and citrus groves. This is not a place to just spend a night on your hectic vacation. This is more of a "take a vacation from your vacation" kind of place. The space Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, guests often choose to spend more than one night or, having enjoyed their too short stay, return later with family and friends. Guest access A portion of the house is used as a gallery/work space, but this does not intrude on the guest space which includes a dedicated kitchen, sleeping areas, toilets, etc. Other things to note Access to the island is by passenger ferry from Marugame on Shikuku. And As there are no shops on the island, guests bring their own food and drink. Fortunately there is a pretty good supermarket at the train station and another even larger one only several minutes walk from the port in another direction.
