Avanti Room: No fuss, clean & unique!

A guest house dedicated to Studebaker's Avanti by Raymond Loewy, the original Mad Man. Perfect for long or short stays, a private room, 2 twin beds & attached full bath. Basically a hotel room, but more character! Complementary quick breakfast items & coffee/tea often in kitchen. -ND, 30 min bus, 15 min drive -Downtown 10 min walk -Groceries/Laundromat/gym across st -Door code access (come & go anytime) -Lots of Parking -Historic, walkable The space This FIRST floor room features 2 twin beds and a private full bathroom with bathtub for unwinding after long days. A shared kitchen is steps away. The Avanti Museum and Guest House (like B&B without a breakfast) operates 6 private bedrooms, each with either a private full bath or half bath. All guests have access to full shower in shared bathroom as well. Guests share a common living room, dining room and a simple kitchen (electric skillet, countertop convection oven, microwave). The living room includes a flat panel TV with basic channels. The entire house may be available for rental. Please contact us to discuss options or see our full Avanti House listing. Guest access Get to our home via car, bus, Uber, bike, or on foot (depending upon where you are). Parking is free and easy. Prior to your stay a guest manual will be shared with you that contains details for things such as parking, check-in, and wi-fi. Also checkout the guidebook for restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. During your stay There is no official check-in. The door code will be sent by Airbnb message, along with other information about the house and room. Otherwise, you have as much privacy or interaction as you wish. Although we love meeting new people, sometimes guests come and go little or no interaction with us because of their plans. Whatever you need is OK with us! Other things to note We are a few blocks north of a train; most people sleep fine with it, but for lighter sleepers we have disposable ear plugs. We are located 2.8 miles from Notre Dame, a five minute walk to a gym/pool, and a 10 minute walk to SB Cubs minor league baseball stadium. There is also a laundromat and discount grocery across the street.
