Stunning creek views from your own enclosed screened porch and yet you're steps from all the food, wine, art, and Amish life that Millheim has to offer. Perfect place to stay for PSU games or fishing trips (you can even fish right out the back door!). Also great for longer retreats (writing, art, fishing, family, football!). Comfortable for up to 8 people. This is our second year renting our place and we very much look forward to hosting you. Please note: we have very slow wifi service. The space Three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. One bedroom has a queen. The largest bedroom now has a queen and a bunk, making it ideal for a whole family (note: we will leave the bedding for you to make the bunk beds). And the third has two single beds. On the first floor there is a nice sunroom with cafe-style built-in desks and a pianos, a built-in breakfast nook in the kitchen, and a beautiful screened-in back porch that overlooks the bend in Elk Creek, one of the prettiest trout-fishing streams in central PA. Guest access We have a huge driveway. Even though it is on the road, you have great visibility in both directions, so it's easy to pull out and in. You can just walk down the hill (a sidewalk all the way) to Elk Creek Cafe on the corner, the Inglebean Cafe (currently close but hopefully reopening soon), Pisano's Winery, and The Green Drake Art gallery. There's also a meat market, a post office, pizza place, a gift store, and more. Other things to note We are in our second year of renting our place through airbnb. Every year we improve things, working on the house every summer and adding amenities all the time. But if something isn't right or you have suggestions, please let us know! We want to make this the perfect retreat for visitors.
