Alice’s Palace, off the grid cabin in the woods

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature within the woods at Welsummer Camping. Alice’s Palace is a remarkable place for relaxation, adventure and making memories. This trailer cabin is secluded in the wild setting of our 3 acre wood and boasts an indoor woodburner plus an outdoor campfire with space to cook, eat and sit, relax in the hammock with nothing but the birds and the trees for company. The space Alice's Palace is a hand-built cabin on a trailer in the heart of the woods with a double bed, comfortable mattress and fresh comfy linen. There is also a fold out sofa bed which can be made up for extra guests or children, with plenty of blankets and pillows. There is a table with stools for dining indoors and a picnic table outdoors. There is also a wood burner for cold nights with a basket of wood provided for the first night in Winter. Outside Space~ Outside Alice's Palace, there is a balcony to walk out onto or to sit and enjoy the atmosphere of of the woodland. Once, you walk down the steps there is a fireplace provided with chairs and a picnic table. The trailer is set within a 3 acre wood shared sometimes with only 2 other cabins so the woodland is a quiet serene and magical place to rest and play. Direct access to the footpaths out the back gate. During camping season the site can be busier, bubbling with happy children and campfire cooking. The trailer remains in its own priveledged setting in the woods with no immediate neighbours, but facilities will be busier on weekends at least. Guest access The property is around 7 acres including meadow woods and orchard and you are welcome to discover and relax in any of the areas open to campers. There is a covered shelter and lounge outside reception where you can charge a device, use the fridge or purchase hot and cold drinks. We also offer our own free-range eggs, honey, and produce from the garden when in season! Other things to note For an off-grid experience, the cabin has no electricity or water inside but we provide bright battery-powered lights for the inside of the cabin. The water tap, bathroom facilities and electric points are only 40 metres from the cabin. Water in the bathrooms and washing up sinks is good and hot and pressure is good. Cooking facilities are over the fire only.
