The space is designed to suit families or large groups looking to get away and enjoy the country. The home is perfect for spending time together, while also providing spaces for privacy and tranquility. The expansive land around Churchill Meadows operated as a dairy farm up until the 1960s. Its 100 acres are now home to rolling meadows and forests, along with the original barn that once housed 80 cows. The barn has since been fully renovated into a truly stunning family retreat with beautiful views of the mountains beyond. The home has 5 bedrooms, 3 of them with en suite bathrooms, and an additional 2 full bathrooms. Please note, window AC units are present in the bedrooms only and are installed at the beginning of May each year. On the first floor you will walk through a generous hallway leads to the first floor master bedroom, with a king bed, walk-in closet and en suite bathroom, complete with a tub and a walk-in shower. Next door is a TV room with cable TV, Roku and a closet filled with children’s toys and books. The adults can also enjoy some private time just down the hall from the the room in the fully-stocked library. The laundry room is also off of this hallway. Off the spacious foyer is a separate home office. The kitchen features a six-burner Wolf range with two ovens, two dishwashers for convenience, double sinks and marble countertops that overlook the property’s rolling meadows. The large living room is complete with a massive fireplace for cozy winter days and nights. Also set the mood with our sonos sound system. The front staircase leads you up to 4 additional bedrooms and a separate nursery, all accessible from the expansive hallway. To the right of the landing are two suites that share a hallway with a door in between that can be locked for privacy, both having separate access doors to the main landing. The second floor master bedroom includes a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a tub and a walk-in shower. A nursery, featuring a crib and rocking chair, is separated from the master suite by a set of double French doors, and has its own access to the main landing. The second suite has a queen bed, along with its own en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There are two additional guest bedrooms on this floor; a room with two twin beds, and a room with a queen bed. A shared bathroom with a tub and a walk-in shower is accessible to these guest rooms. Also on this floor is a large lounge with Roku TV and numerous board games and puzzles. Our outdoor entertainment area is perfect for grilling, lounging and taking in all the Catskills scenery has to offer. Enjoy sipping cocktails while sitting on stools at the built-in bar, and evenings dining al fresco at the custom-made, extra long outdoor dining table. The grill station is convenient to the kitchen, and the views will entertain, all while the food is being prepared. At the edge of the meadow is a fire pit and Adirondack chairs perfect for those after dinner evenings spent under the stars. The property is located 35 minutes from both Windham Mountain and Plattekill Mountain, and 45 minutes from Hunter Mountain. One hour from the baseball hall of fame in Cooperstown and the artsy and historic Woodstock; 35 minutes from the natural wonders at Howe Caverns; and easy driving distance to many lively college towns, wedding venues, lovely restaurants and other local attractions. Guests are not allowed access to the basement dormitory. This door is locked. In the event it is unlocked, guests are still not permitted to enter. We are available to guests 24/7 via phone. We generally do not see our guests face to face however if needed, we are available. The town of Stamford is known as the “Queen of the Catskills” with her rolling hills, beautiful hikes, and bustling Main Street. Our town is currently going through a Renaissance with new businesses and restaurants opening constantly. This has been the case throughout the Catskills in the last few years; creating a truly unique experience for our guests. A car is necessary to visit our home and the surrounding areas. In winter we strongly encourage an all wheel drive car as the roads get slippery and can be very unsafe in any other vehicle.
