During the summer of 1940, he toured the northern United States and personally met Frank Lloyd Wright. This pivotal meeting prompted him to then visit many of Wright's northern U.S. projects. This tour left a lasting impression on Secord which would later influence his works in Ontario after 1955, as can be seen in the architecture of his studio as well as the house on the right as you drive in. We have now converted the space into a relaxing space to stay! The living room space has air conditioning and heating, a kitchenette, and places to sit and eat or relax and watch some TV. Wifi is throughout the space. The bedroom is cozy and bright (or close the blinds, whichever you prefer!). The bathroom is a separate room with a stand-up shower but note the ceiling is not connected to the wall. The deck is custom-made and overlooks the trees and creek space, there is a whole acre that is behind the houses just off the main roads. Guest access We have one parking spot available right in front of the studio that you will be able to use. You can then enter the side door with the code, and you will have arrived. We can often fit 2 cars if necessary. The studio is located on an acre that has 2 other houses on it (privately owned) and is connected to a long-term rental. The tenants are very quiet and private people and likely you would not interact with them, they have their own access, parking, yard space, etc. There is no access between the two units. Other things to note Unfortunately, we can't have any pets stay. The Studio is connected to one other space where there are long-term renters (they are very quiet and private and you likely won't see them at all), we do ask you also keep noise levels to a minimum for them as well. You have a parking spot in front of the studio, you do not need to cross the creek at any time.
