Hütte zu Gotthelfszeiten [Hütte zu Gotthelfszeiten]
Hütte zu Gotthelfszeiten [Hütte zu Gotthelfszeiten]
Description
Simple Vorweidhütte built around 1890 is still inhabited and used for agriculture. The farm is run independently of the guests. Odors and work are part of it, just like the cattle that linger around the house and in the barn. Of course, this includes the bells. Therefore, ONLY guests who are willing to live a simple life without luxury, without electricity, without shower (water at the well) and outhouse are welcome. Those who accept this will never forget this stay. The space The over 130-year-old Vorweidhütte offers its charm, away from civilization and yet somehow accessible. How did our ancestors live 100-150 years ago? Can you live without running water in the house? Without electricity? For cooking and heating, chop wood beforehand and then cheer on? With the animals in the barn? Then this is the place for you. The cottage during Gotthelfszeiten can accommodate 4 adults/2 children in 2 rooms. The 1st room has a 160 x 200 cm bed and the 2nd room has a 160 x 200 cm bunk bed. Only adults can lie in the lower part. Upstairs is only suitable for children between 6-12 years. The room height is somewhat limited. In general, the room height is sometimes just under 180 cm. That means ducking your head if you're tall. Cooking can be done on a gas rechaud with 2 hobs or a wood stove with oven. The kitchen is conveniently furnished. From dishes, glasses, cooking pots, it has everything you need to live. There is no running water in the cottage. For this, the water can be fetched at the well. The water is drinkable, but in heavy rain I recommend boiling it. DH also means it does not have a shower, you wash yourself with rags and soap. In return, it has a washing facility in the kitchen. The basement has garden furniture and the barbecue. You can get to the plump toilet through the stable. There is also the possibility to walk around the whole house if you don't want to walk through the stable. It has no electricity. You have light with candles and solar LED lamps. A 12 volt battery is charged with the solar panel. DH you can charge 1-2 mobile phones, but do not charge power banks. The system is too weak and could break. Guest access As a guest, you have the kitchen, living room, sleeping loft, arbor (balcony) and seating area for your own use. If there is cattle, then the stable, well and outdoor area are shared. This means that the cattle and the farmer are independent and cannot be hindered by their work. Thank you! Other things to note There is no shower, the water must be fetched at the well next to the house. The water is actually drinkable, but during heavy rainy seasons we recommend boiling the water. And it has no electricity. = no luxury. Possibility to charge mobile phone with an available solar panel. Please do not charge power banks, the system is too weak for this. The cabin is simple and conveniently furnished. Dogs are NOT allowed! There's NO exception! And also important, in and around forests and meadows there are ticks. Check yourself every night before you go to sleep.
