Our cozy chalet is located just a 1/2 mile from Hunter Mountain's base lodge. That is a short walking distance to mountain! You can enjoy all the activities and festivals that Hunter Mountain offers and you don't have to worry about driving! It is nestled in the Colonel's Chair Estate area on a nice quiet street. The chalet has a HOT TUB that is professionally maintained, FIRE PIT, CENTRAL AIR, WIFI, a telephone for local and emergency calls and cable tv in living room and all 4 bedrooms. The property has a private driveway with plenty of parking, a large front yard and a storage shed behind house for you to keep any belongings while here. When you arrive you can access house through the keyless entry on first floor. On the 2nd floor there is a large deck with BBQ and patio table and a 6 person hot tub on the lower deck for you to relax in! The 2nd floor has an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining room and living room. In the middle of it all is a wood burning stove. The living room area has a 60" T.V. There is a wrap around sofa. The Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, oven/stove and a dishwasher. It has all the essentials you need to cook. There is also a bedroom with queen size bed, 2 dressers and a closet and a full bathroom with tub. The first floor has 3 bedrooms, two with 2 twin beds, a dresser and closet in each. The 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed with full size mattresses, dresser and closet. There is a laundry/utility room with a washer and dryer and cabinets for extra storage. There is also another full size bathroom. You have access to entire house and property. There is plenty of parking space in the driveway. Do not park on street. When you arrive you will find a house rules/instruction manual as well as brochures, information and pictures on all the fun things there are to do in the Catskills! We hope you enjoy you stay! It is truly a beautiful area to visit. This is the perfect location for you to enjoy all that Hunter Mountain has to offer. You are walking distance to Hunter Mountain. During the summer and fall they have the six pack chair lift running so you can go to the summit, or if you are adventurous, you can hike up the Belt Parkway. Once at the top you can enjoy the views or hike the trail to the historic fire tower. They also have frisbee golf, fly fishing and the famous Zipline Adventure Tour. It is the longest and highest in North America. During the fall there are various Oktoberfests (check Hunter's website for details). Just a short drive away are numerous hiking trails, North-South Lake where you can swim, canoe or hike your way around. The Kaaterskill Falls is always beautiful to see. There is shopping and restaurants located in Tannersville which is just a quick 5 miles from the chalet. If golf is your pleasure, also in Tannersville is the Colonial Golf course. The town of Windham is a short drive away. They also have restaurants, stores and an 18 hole golf course. If using Google maps when driving to the house, when you enter Hunter, NY, it comes up as Lanesville, NY, but it will take you to the house. Just a little tip, when driving through the towns make sure you do the speed limit!! You must be 25 years or older to book a reservation. NO smoking on property and no pets are allowed. This is a residential area and not a party house. No parties and no loud music. We supply the following for the bathrooms: 3 rolls of toilet paper in each bath, cleaners and towels. The brown towels are for indoor use only. Please use the beach towels for hot tub. No towels are to be taken off property. If you plan on doing any off-property water activities, you need to bring you own towels. We supply the following for the kitchen: Olive oil, salt, pepper, some spices, coffee filters, soaps for dishes and dishwasher, cleaning supplies and napkins. There are extra linens, blankets and pillows in some closets. THERE IS NO GARBAGE PICKUP AT THE HOUSE. ALL GARBAGE MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU OR DISPOSED OF AT the Greene County Solid Waste Facility. It's just under a 2 mile drive from house. Directions are posted in the house manual and on refrigerator. If ANY GARBAGE is left at house an additional fee will be charged. You need to purchase your own wood for fire pit and wood burning stove. Most local stores sell bundles. When you arrive at house the rules/instruction manual will be on kitchen counter. PLEASE READ. There is detailed information on how to operate hot tub, TV's, appliances and heating/AC system, etc.
