The Lakehouse

Enjoy your stay in a newly built, modern, peaceful lakeside property. Beautifully decorated and stocked with all the essentials. . The Lakehouse offers a fantastic location for a getaway with loads of higher end amenities. The space The Location It's located less than 5 minutes off the 401, 10 min to downtown Bowmanville, less than an hour drive to Toronto. It is less than a 5-minute walk to the lake, beaches, trails and a large children’s playground that features a fun splashpad in the summer months. Port Darlington boat launch is right around the corner. There is a beautiful off leash dog park a 3 min drive up the road if you are travelling with a furry friend. Living/Dining We've got a comfy/cozy living room for you to curl up and read a book, or watch a movie on the 55” smart TV. Enjoy a meal at a table for four, or gather together to play card or a board game. Coffee/Tea Bar Our kitchen has a Keurig with coffee pods and hot chocolate pods. We also have a tea kettle, a variety of different types of teas, sugar, coffee whitener, and mugs. Kitchen The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials such as condiments, spices and seasonings, salad dressing, oil, flour, sugar etc. We have a full-size oven/stove, a dishwasher, a fridge, toaster, blender and an over the range microwave. Some of the items we keep stocked for your use include pots and pans, utensils, baking dishes, drinking glasses, wine glasses, shot glasses, mixing bowls, dish towels, and sharp knives. Backyard with a Deck It's really just a great spot to take a break and relax! Light up the charcoal BBQ and grill up something delicious to enjoy on the oversized deck. A small outside eating area is set up for your enjoyment. Lots of space for children or pets to play. Please note the backyard is NOT fenced, we request that dogs are taken out on a leash out of respect for our neighbours’ properties. The Primary Bedroom - 1 Queen Bed The primary bedroom is located at the back of the home on the second floor. It offers a queen size memory foam mattress, 4 pillows for a good night's sleep. This room has a full-length mirror, an electric fireplace, a 32-inch smart TV, a walk-in closet and an ensuite washroom. Upon request a crib can be added to the room if you are travelling with a little one. Bedroom 2- 1 Twin Bed Bedroom 2 is located at the front of the home on the second floor. It offers a twin size memory foam mattress and 2 pillows for a good night's sleep. This room has a full-length mirror, a closet and a workstation with a lamp. The workstation desk is stocked with all the essentials such as pencils, pens, highlighters, tape, pencil crayons, a pencil sharpener, ruler, calculator, whiteout, and a stapler. Bedroom 3- 1 Twin Bed Bedroom 3 is located at the front of the home on the second floor. It offers a twin size memory foam mattress and 2 pillows for a good night's sleep. This room has a full-length mirror, a closet and a workstation with a lamp. The workstation desk is stocked with all the essentials such as pencils, pens, highlighters, tape, pencil crayons, a pencil sharpener, ruler, calculator, whiteout, and a stapler. Bathrooms Enjoy the use of the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, towels, wash cloths and a hair dryer. We have two bathrooms on the upper level. Both washrooms have a shower/tub combo. Entertainment - 55” smart TV in the living room - 32” smart TV in the bedroom - board games and card in the living room WIFI + Work We offer high speed wifi throughout the home. Both bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 feature a workstation stocked with all the essentials such as pencils, pens, highlighters, tape, pencil crayons, a pencil sharpener, ruler, calculator, whiteout, and a stapler. There is a wireless 3-in-one printer/scanner/photocopy located in the living room. Outdoors This home offers a large back deck with a charcoal BBQ, and a 2-person outdoor dining area. The yard is good size so there is plenty of room for kids or pets to play. Please note that the backyard is NOT fenced. Out of respect for the neighbours’ properties we ask that pets are taken out on a leash. Laundry + Cleaning There is a stacked washer and dryer in the closet of the primary bedroom. We provide laundry detergent for your stay. There is also an iron and ironing board should you need it. We also provide rags and cleaning supplies, a vacuum, mop, broom and swiffer should you need to clean up any spills. Travelling with an Infant We know that travelling with a little one can be a bit of an adventure, so we want to make the experience as stress free as possible and help you to pack a little lighter. Upon request, we can add a crib to the primary bedroom for your stay. We have crib sheets, baby blankets, a saucer bouncer, a vibrating baby chair, a highchair, a baby bath, a baby play mat as well as a few miscellaneous infant toys. Guest access Our check-in process is easy and keyless. Make yourself at home! Please note their is a completely separate unit with it's own entrance in the basement that also operates as an airbnb. The rest of the house is all yours! Other things to note SUPPLIES: We'll get you started with items such as toilet paper, soap, detergent and cleaning supplies, however you will be responsible for purchasing additional, if needed (should only be needed if you are staying for longer durations). PARKING: You are welcome to use the spot in the garage as well as 1 space infront of the garage on the driveway. Please note there is a separate unit in the basement that uses the space on the interlock part of the driveway in front of the front porch. When parking please park close enough to the garage to allow their car space to access the other half of the driveway.
