Come and enjoy my simple yet comfortable home in the woods. The property is a quiet and serene escape from City life, located just minutes from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve. There is much to explore just steps from the front door! The space Enjoy a private bedroom & bathroom in our country home in Kerhonkson. Our home is located just off the main road for easy access yet offers the privacy of woods surrounding the small culdesac. Feel free to cook in the kitchen. Enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens for breakfast. Easy parking. Stay with us for a mix of outdoor activities, local shopping & dining, or just relaxing indoors. PROPERTY AMENITIES Outdoor front porch seating, outdoor back porch seating with fireplace, chicken coop, fresh eggs, very active bird feeders, woods surrounding property, walking trails and creek. Indoor kitchen, dining room, living room, and additional living room with wood stove. Your private room includes clean linens and extra pillows. Your bathroom is private and has a shower with clean towels and toiletries available. EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS: We are only 10 minutes away from Mohonk Preserve and Minawaska State Park! Beautiful hiking & climbing available. Across the street are the towns mountain biking trails at Lippman Park. Only 20 minutes from New Paltz dining & shopping! During the winter months enjoy nearby winter hiking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing, then come home and get cozy by the woodstove. We have 2 canoes, many paddles and PFD's if you are interested in paddling with us during the warmer months. Fishing is excellent in the Rondout Reservoir and creek. We are within 2 miles of the beginning of thousands of acres of state land with public access for hiking, hunting and camping. WHAT ELSE IS NEARBY?..... 4 miles to: Rail Trail between Accord and Kerhonkson 6 miles to: Kelders Farm mini golf, petting zoo, pick your own vegies and berries depending on the the time of year, vegetables for sale 5 minutes from Super Markets - Peters Market in Kerhonkson, ShopRite 5-15 minutes from great restaurants Aroma Thyme Bistro (Ellenville), The Paper Mill (Napanoch), Outpost BBQ (Kerhonkson). 2 hours North of NYC 30 minutes to Kingston (movie theater) 25- 50 minutes to wineries 10-25 minutes Horse back riding PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO US. . .. There is a bus from NYC Port Authority Pine Hill Trailways running about once an hour, to New Paltz. From there you can take a taxi or we may also be available to provide transportation to and from New Paltz, please message us if interested. Guest access Our home is shared space, as we live there too. But please feel free to make our home your home throughout your stay. Use the kitchen to cook meals, relax on the porches, or get cozy in front of the wood stove. During your stay We are just about always available to spend time with our guests. Although, we are more than happy to give guests privacy to relax!!! Many guests enjoy sharing a bottle of wine in front of the fire on the back porch and sharing stories.
