The space This farmhouse is situated on 150 acres in Moriarty off of historic route 66. The architect-designed 2-story 2400sf home has 2 bedrooms & 2 ½ baths. The kitchen opens into a formal dining area with bay windows. A passive-solar heated enclosed sunroom on one side has a sitting area which could be used for a cozy sleeping area. The big wood burning fireplace in the living room has a beautiful textured white tile surround. (There is a small collection of books in the living room...You can take a book, or leave a book.) The ceilings are pine and the floors oak and Mexican ceramic tile. The primary bedroom has a small standing balcony, and the ensuite has a clawfoot tub and separate shower. The spacious second bedroom has windows with a view on three sides. You will find the hammock as well as a variety of yard games for your use stored in the laundry room. A small garden on the south side of the house is surrounded by a white picket fence and has been used for vegetables and roses. The covered portals in front and back are a nice place to see the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening. The yards and fields around the house are inhabited by cranes in the fall; owls, swallows and doves abound in the spring and summer.
