Garden Cottage, Aboyne. Peaceful and relaxing .

Relax at our peaceful, well-equipped and comfortable Cottage. Cottage has outside dining table and chairs , fire pit , logs and log burning stove inside. We provide complimentary logs for both . Bike storage with charging. A short, safe walk into Aboyne. Aboyne Loch, old Railway line and Aboyne Golf Course are across the road, which makes for an active or totally relaxed holiday. Easy car drive North to Ballater and Braemar or on the regular buses, which stop at road end . The space Welcome to Garden Cottage. We have , since May 2021 , fully renovated and refurbished this gorgeous , quaint and cosy cottage . It has all new fixtures and fittings and modern high quality furniture and bedding. The cottage offers a sitting room with a log fire ( and plenty of logs),a large smart TV on the wall , 2 sumptuous sofas with 2 reclining seats on one of the sofas and a table with4 chairs for dining. There are 2 bedrooms , one a double and the second can be 1 or 2 single beds. The shower room has a large walk-in shower which boasts a power shower with a drench head and a spray head. A white Corian worktop sits atop the toilet and the washbasin which along with an electric heated towel rail and a light up mirror completes this lovely modern space. We provide shampoo and conditioner, body wash and hand wash along with toilet rolls, fluffy face cloths and towels. The kitchen is completed in a neutral hue with grey wooden flooring, the same flooring that runs throughout the cottage. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, 4 burner ceramic hob, fan oven, fan, coffee maker, microwave and the usual small appliances. Ninja dual air fryer and liners newly added in December 2024. All appliances are newly purchased as of November 2021, when Garden cottage was completed. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with ample crockery, cutlery, pots and service dishes for dining and a great supply of glassware. The kitchen has some cleaning products with a starter supply of dishwasher tablets, laundry tablets , fire lighters , kitchen roll and bin liners . We do not provide kindling , but do provide ample logs. There is a long cupboard at the entrance to the kitchen that can hold coats and boots . The Cottage has primarily Roman blinds which have black out lining, there is hanging space in both bedrooms as well as hair dryers and mirrors. There is an iron, ironing board and a drying screen. On arrival you will find complimentary coffee pods, tea, sugars, shortbread, oatcakes and cooking oil. Should you wish a pack with breakfast items , snacks , wine or other drinks etc. we will be happy to accommodate that. The WIFI is high speed broadband which is ideal if you need to do some work ( hopefully not ) while you are on holiday. In addition , the TV has built in Netflix , Freeview , Alexa and many other options. Guest access There are very regular buses which go into Aberdeen , passing through Banchory and also ones going North to Ballater and on to Braemar . We are very lucky with the buses stopping at the end of the driveway for collection and drop off. Taxis are usually easy to book and have assorted sizes to accommodate as required. It is an easy and safe walk ( 15 minutes or so) into Aboyne via the old railway line and a 4 minute drive into Aboyne. Car parking is either free or inexpensive here and in Ballater, Braemar and Banchory. There is ample parking for cars in our driveway close to the cottage . Other things to note If guests wish to bring bikes , there is a locked shed close to your cottage . Being told in advance allows us to leave a shed key. We are happy to welcome one well behaved dog by request . There are lots of happy spaces for a dog to have a wee walk /play in the garden , however it is not a gated garden. All dogs must be kept on a lead however while in the garden or the courtyard . In addition there are many miles of lovely walks nearby. Registration details AS00002F
