1860's Victorian guest house in the Catskills
This cozy getaway is on a historical street in one of the oldest villages in the Catskills. Situated on a street that boasts a charming white framed church, a grand blue stoned library & one of the oldest Opera House's, turned movie theater. Walk to antique shops, restaurants, coffee shops, the park (swim in the summer or ice skate/ sled in winter) or get in the car for scenic drives to surrounding farms, hiking trails & farmers markets in warmer seasons. Perfect for a couple and 1-2 children. Centrally located in the historic Village of Walton, the private studio is the guest house of an 1860's Victorian home with its own entrance. The small but well-equipped full kitchen, well stocked bathroom, queen size bed, full size futon & a large backyard with patio furniture, grill & wood burning fire pit is perfect to gather around throughout the year. Guests have private access to the studio as well as access to the fully equipped, large backyard lot & wifi. We enjoy interacting with people but we also respect your space/privacy. We are always available and will provide our contact information upon check-in. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you should need anything. Walton is the home to the well known Delaware County Fair! Centrally located to neighboring towns of Franklin, Delhi, Andes, Downsville, Sidney, Bainbridge and Hancock to really take in the upstate experience. You can also take the family just a bit further to Roscoe (aka Trout Town USA) or to Cooperstown’s Baseball Hall of Fame, around the luscious Pepacton reservoir or on a kayaking adventure! During the winter months take a trip to Plattekill, Windham or Belleayre Mountain for some skiing, tubing or snowboarding. walk or bike to almost anyplace in Walton, but will need a vehicle to travel to neighboring towns.
