Riverside - family home by river with plunge pool

Beautiful four bedroom house to comfortably sleep up to nine people near Nîmes and Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon. Ideal for a family holiday, this self catering home offers a wonderful view over the river Hérault and has everything to make your holiday unforgettable. Situated in the village of St Bauzille-de-Putois, the house has direct access to the river from the garden, a plunge pool (5m by 2m, 1m deep) and a beautiful garden from which you can enjoy stunning sunsets. The space The Garden The house has everything you need for a truly wonderful holiday. Spend days lazing in the garden and plunge pool, swimming in the river and having BBQs whilst enjoying the view and the sunshine. The gorgeous garden has well established flower beds, shrubs, lawn and a large cedar tree at the end from where you can enjoy the spectacular view over the river Hérault. Offering shade as well as sunny areas there are several patios to choose from and a covered outside dining area. The House The house is officially classified as a three star *** “meublé de tourisme” The main room is the dining room which also has a sofa and a large cupboard with additional crockery and games. Air-con is available in this room. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, crockery, utensils etc and with dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. Sitting room has sofa and armchairs, log burner, bureau, large desk, tv and dvd player. There is wifi on the ground floor. There is a shower room with a large walk in shower and sink and a separate WC. There is a washing machine. The first floor has 3 bedrooms and a WC. The garden room has a double bed overlooking the garden and has air-con. The bunkbed room (double bed at the top, single at the bottom) overlooks the garden and has a sink. The blue room has a double bed overlooking the street. The top floor has a spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed and air-con. The bathroom has a shower over bath, sink and WC. The Area The house is located in the charming village of St Bauzille-de-Putois, a classic Languedoc village at the entrance to the Cévennes National Park. Village amenities (two bakeries, artisan butcher, café, restaurants, pizzeria, small grocery shop, pharmacy) are all within walking distance. Ganges is a 10 minute drive away with a great farmers' market (Friday) and several supermarkets. The area has much to offer: - Unspoilt river swimming (both l'Hérault and La Vis). - Canoeing down the gorges of l'Hérault. - The Grotte des Demoiselles, an impressive limestone cave situated in St Bauzille-de-Putois. - Cévennes mountains to explore. Mont Aigoual, the highest mountain in the region, is about an hour's drive away. - Beautiful medieval city of Montpellier is about 45 minutes away and its beaches a further 20 minutes - Nîmes and its Roman amphitheatre is an hour away. A bit further on is the roman Pont du Gard, a Unesco World Heritage site - The Cirque de Navacelles, an impressive large erosional landform, is about an hour away - St Guilhem le Desert, a medieval village located on the Chemin de St-Jacques pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostelle, also a Unesco World Heritage site is about 30 minutes away.
