Description
The Traveller’s Angel is a very quiet, south-facing bedroom for 2/3 guests. You also have an independent entrance, shared bathroom across the hall, and sitting room, leading onto the patio and into the garden. If you wish, you can order breakfast from a varied and creative menù, at £17.00 per person, and Slow Food Dining and Storytelling Experiences, at £75 per person. The latter has just been nominated as one of the best foodie experiences by Scotland Food and Drink 2025. The space I always say, "don't judge a book by its cover". My home is located in a garden suburb of Inverness, with its very own secret garden and patio at the rear. As soon as you step through the front door, the open space of the library/conservatory will take your breath away, with its striking, high ceiling, chandelier, large French windows, and book shelves that line a wall, from top to bottom. The stylish, minimalistic décor continues throughout the interior of the house. The open plan living and dining space is great for socialising, with the kitchen just next door, where I prepare your breakfast to order, and host my evening Chef's table. Guest access Guests have their own bedroom, shared bathroom, and guest sitting room, with French windows leading on to the garden patio, which is also accessible to guests, weather permitting. Welcome refreshments are offered here. There are numerous books and magazine on the area, to help you plan your next day's itinerary. There is another sitting room and breakfast room, where I serve your made to order breakfast from a selection of seasonal smoothies, cranachan, kedgeree, eggs, and, of course, the Big Scottish Breakfast. During your stay I am always at home to meet my guests, show them the facilities, offer some refreshments, and help them to decide what to do, where to visit, shop, and eat out. Other things to note There is my own, evening Chef's Table, where I prepare traditional, Scottish dishes, based on the recipes of Sir Walter Scott's Meg Dodd's Cleikum Club in Edinburgh. It's very important to me to show guests how special Scottish cuisine can be, by taking advantage of the excellent raw materials available practically on my doorstep. PLEASE NOTE: Breakfast and dinner available, and payable in loco.
