Isolated Farm House
Isolated Farm House
Description
This a traditional seventeenth century farmhouse which is surrounded by 200 acres of fields and woodland, we have no visible neighbours. A large and comfortable farmhouse with wood burning stoves and a very large and private garden. You also have access to private walks through our fields and woodland. This house is roomy enough for a big family reunion of 10 people but also cosy for an intimate weekend for two. Peace and quiet at last- no noise only sheep, no passing traffic only horses. The space This is my home. It is comfortable and warm, but it is not perfect. Parts of the house go back to the seventeenth century, the newest addition was late in the eighteenth. There are no straight lines, floor boards creak, and draughts blow, but it is a delightful escape from the stress of modern life. The house is set over three levels, the four bedrooms are on the upper level and are all large with views over the surrounding farmland. There is a toddler cot available. There is a double sofa bed in the living room. There is a dining kitchen and a separate large dining room which can be arranged to seat at least 10 people. Guest access You will need a car to get to the house, there is ample parking when you arrive. The property is ideally situated for walking and cycling being located on the Poets Path and the Newent Cycling loop. There is a public footpath passing the entrance to the house which gives immediate access to 4 different walking routes. Guests have exclusive access to private walking trails on the property. Other things to note Please note that this is a working farm and guests do not have free access to the entire farm. Dogs are welcome, and are free to run loose in the fenced garden, however, outside of the garden dogs must be kept on a leash at all times - no exceptions - we have lots of vulnerable livestock on the property. You and your dog will be held responsible for any injury that your dog causes to livestock. Horses should not be approached at any times and the feeding of livestock is banned.
