Welcome to the 4 Corners Tiny House! Stocked kitchen, convection/microwave, dual hot plate, large farmhouse sink. Full size loft bed with new mattress. Memory foam futon (some folks say it’s mildly comfortable) that will also fold for additional sleeping surface. Full size bathroom & shower with on-demand hot water heater. Everything is handcrafted and beautiful in this place. There is a short path to the house with a deck, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs out front with awesome views. We are 5 minutes south of Cortez. We have 9 acres, dogs, cats, and free-roaming chickens. We have 4 separate and well-spaced AirBnbs on our property including the Mesa Verde Tiny House, The Sleeping Ute Tiny House, and the Mesa Verde Casita. Each home is placed to provide your privacy. If you’ve got a meetup or family get-together, this could work out great to rent out the tiny houses and/or the casita. All sleep 2-3 people. If you are interested in exploring the area on horseback, JJ leads trail rides that explore McElmo Canyon and visit ancient Puebloan ruins. Let us know if you’re interested and we can coordinate with you! Please note, our WiFi is not fast due to our rural setting but can usually handle video calls well. JJ routinely does virtual psychotherapy sessions from this tiny house without problems. Feel free to explore our property, hang by the pond, visit our animals, etc. If you’d like to have a fire in the fire pit, please send us a message and ask first (due to possible County fire restrictions). Although this is not a guest amenity, our family hot tub may be available for use, depending on our schedule. Please just ask when you’re here and we’ll let you know. We value our guests’ privacy and tend to give you your space. We do enjoy meeting our guests and sharing info about our amazing area. We live 5 minutes south of Cortez. We are a short drive away from Canyon of the Ancients and other amazing hiking and mountain biking spots. We’ve been Airbnb hosts since the beginning and our philosophy is “old school Airbnb.” You’re picking a place that is unique, quirky, imperfect, but super fun and interesting. We are taking COVID-19 precautions to the absolute MAX. Our cleaning is extensively thorough and everything is cleaned and sanitized between guests. Our house manual, directions, and WiFi info are listed on the Airbnb app. So please make sure you have the app accessible during your stay. The full size loft bed requires climbing up and down a tall ladder. It’s very cozy and comfortable up there. The water pressure is pretty good but some guests have noted that it is not the same high pressure as you’d find at home. We live in an economically depressed area and we pride ourselves in providing more than living wage employment to our professional cleaning staff. There is a fire pit outside for cautious use when we don’t have county fire restrictions. Please, before making a fire, you must check with us first. We are about 10 minutes from Phil’s World. We can often charge your electric vehicle with our 30amp RV plug and just ask for a simple donation left on the counter when you leave.
