Description
This beautiful little upside down cottage in the heart of Hayfield in the High Peak offers our guests blissful peace and quiet as well as proximity to the village centre; immediate access to the surrounding hills and excellent road links to the rest of the Peak District; a well equipped space to snuggle up and self cater or the choice to eat in a different local pub, cafe or restaurant every day. Choices, choices, choices... The space This little gem of a holiday cottage used to be an antique shop. Beneath the dust and the hoarded treasures we uncovered a host of original features and added our own modern touches to create a tastefully and sympathetically renovated boutique holiday home. It’s an upside down house because we wanted to take full advantage of the lovely view down the street and across the hills beyond. Upstairs, you’ve got an open plan living room and kitchen, equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay - a comfy sofa and a wall mounted TV; a capacious fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, pots and pans, and plenty of cupboard space for your own food as well as a welcome pack from us. There’s a breakfast bar for meals in, and cafes, pubs and restaurants galore on your doorstep for meals out. Downstairs is a cosy king size bed, oodles of clothes storage, and a very spacious ensuite shower room. And outside your front door is Hayfield: a thriving village in the High Peak with a lovely community feel and some amazing countryside to get out and explore - including easy access to Kinder Scout, home of the 1932 Mass Trespass and the reason for our name, Trespass Cottage. Guest access Parking is on street (one car if possible please). There's easy access by road from Hayfield out into the Peak District, down to Manchester, or over to Yorkshire. This is a rural area so while public transport exists, a car is highly recommended. Other things to note We welcome one well behaved dog per booking, free of charge. Please consider the needs of future guests and ensure your furry friend isn't invited up onto the furniture or the bed. Thank you. If you love the look of this space but it's not quite right for your requirements, we do have another two holiday lets which may be available to suit you: the Chicken Barn sleeps four and is another upside down house while the Studio is a tiny first floor retreat for two - both are one mile outside Hayfield village with walks up into the hills right from their doorsteps.
