Wombarra Ocean Retreat

Our modern 1-bedroom apartment has great ocean views with access to the adjoining oceanfront. The apartment adjoins our home but has a separate private access. 1.5 hours from Sydney by car or train Wombarra is a quiet seaside village offering both the active outdoors and a quiet retreat. The space The apartment has fully equipped kitchen facilities (portable cooktup, oven, fridge, pots/pans/crockery/glassware etc), free wifi, Apple-TV/Netflix/Stan etc. Off-street parking for one vehicle available (steep driveway not suitable for really low vehicles). The apartment is one floor up from the entrance level and is functionally separated from the rest of the house giving excellent privacy. We have listed the apartment on Airbnb following requests from overseas visitors to our Sydney apartment for an "out of Sydney" experience. With our children spreading all over the world and becoming less-frequent visitors we are happy to offer the apartment to Airbnb guests who have a fully-verified profile. The living area can be divided from the kitchen by closing the Shoji screens (see photos) with a double Aerobed providing additional (and surprisingly comfortable) bedding. This option is likely to only apply to single guests who require separate beds as our intention is have a limit of 2 guests only (although we will consider extenuating circumstances). Guest access You have access to a fully equipped (shared) laundry that is accessible via a common foyer. Other things to note There are abundant opportunities for outdoor activities including surfing, swimming (sea pool), hiking and even barefoot bowls at the local bowling club. Or just relax and read a good book with the calming sound of the ocean. Other attractions within easy reach include tennis, cycling, sky diving, horse riding, hiking, Sea Cliff Bridge, Symbio Wildlife Park, Royal National Park, and the Illawarra (tree-top) Fly Walk. Nearby restaurants, galleries, pubs and markets are a few minutes away by car in Austinmer, Thirroul, Bulli, Stanwell Park and Helensburgh. Even closer you will find the Wombarra Bowling Club and Black Duck restaurant (1 minute walk), Coledale Cafe, RSL Club, Chedo’s Restaurant, and Scarborough Hotel (all 15 minutes walk). On weekends the Sri Venkateswara Temple near Helensburgh has a canteen (10am-4pm open to public) that serves great Indian vegetarian dishes at a very modest price. Registration details PID-STRA-6364
